Newlywed R&B songbird Monica looks for love on “Anywhere (To Find You),” the Missy Elliott-produced first single from her upcoming seventh studio album, New Life.

But that’s a different story for a different day…) Ms. Arnold returns to the R&B world with a track that samples the late Notorious B.I.G.’s famed “Who Shot Ya?” and borrows the line “Like sweet morning dew/ I take one look at you/ And it was plain to see/ You were my destiny…” from Mary J. Blige’s 1995 hit, “You’re All I Need to Get By.”

New Life is tentatively scheduled for release on Oct. 4.

The song was originally supposed to be released on Christmas Eve — hence the “Jingle Bell Rock” intro — but things got delayed while Foxy mourned the death of a friend late last month. A second song “You Ain’t Ruff Enuff” was leaked by former associates despite her protest.

The long-simmering feud between hip-hop divas Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj has escalated as the holiday season kicks into high-gear.

The claws came out last Friday as Kim released an acid-tongued new diss track targeting her wigged rival, Young Money’s own Nicki Minaj. Dubbed “Black Friday,” the single serves as a response to Minaj’s “Roman’s Revenge” an Eminem-assisted tune that fires shots that “allegedly” (Hint, Nudge, Wink) fires shots at the Queens-bred hip-hopster. That song appears on Nicki’s recently-released debut disc, Pink Friday. The Killa K’s intense (and dare we say spiteful) verses spill over the beat of Pharoahe Monch‘s “Simon Says,” and aging vamp Kim — who, at nearly 40, is obviously feeling the pressure of losing her tiara as a sex symbol to another pouty-mouthed femcee — doesn’t hold back. Can’t we all just get along?

Lil’ Kim is putting on her best “O Face” for her debut as the new face of Three Olives Vodka.

The controversial femcee is the Official Spokesmodel of the vodka company’s “Purple” campaign. Here’s what Lil Kim had to say about her recent endorsement:

“Since I’m Queen Bee and purple is the color of royalty, I’m thrilled Three Olives has asked me to bring my flavor to the sexy ‘O-Face’ campaign for their new Purple vodka!” Kim said in a statement last week.

Elwyn Gladstone, the Vice-President of marketing for Three Olives’ distributor, Proximo Spirits believes Kim is the perfect person for the job.

Lil Kim is screaming cries of “Swagger Jacking!” to anyone who will listen in a barrage of public attacks against “Femcee of the Hour” Nicki Minaj. But when it comes to hip-hop’s newest most-talked about “beef,” Bad Boy mogul Diddy and Miami’s own Trina are determined to take the road less traveled: The High One.

“I want to say I love Lil’ Kim, man. I’m sorry that she’s mad. I never would have thought that by me working with another artist that she would take it the wrong way. But if she’s taking it the wrong way it ain’t meant like that. Nicki never did anything to her,” the Dirty Money frontman said in an interview with British radio personality Tim Westwood on Friday.

“She ain’t trying to swagger-jack or say nothing negative about her. I just think that Kim needs to just understand that Nicki as a whole has always been respectful of her and Nicki’s not trying to be her,” Diddy said. “I ain’t gonna make no apologies for working with Nicki Minaj. [She is] somebody that’s never said anything negative about Kim and just really has always, in my eyes, has paid homage to Kim….Kim is gonna be a MC and MCs when they coming back out a lot of times they like to talk crazy and do what they do, ” he said. “At the end of the day, everybody respects Lil’ Kim for being the Queen Bee.”

Trina fears the tension between hip-hop’s Two Barbies, is just the latest bit of drama plaguing women in hip-hop:

“That’s crazy. I really don’t get it. I don’t see where all this is coming from,” Miami’s Trina told MTV News via e-mail this week about Kim’s comments. “[We're] all ladies. Can’t we just make music and get our paper and keep it moving?! We all respect Kim. She opened the doors for us females. It’s all good — everybody’s eating, what’s the issue? This makes us all look bad. There’s barely any female artists as is — we don’t need this!”

In the meantime, The Queen Bee is giving “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” a new meaning. In a new interview with ThisIs50.com, Kim confesses that her contention with Nicki originated over a song the two were on which was later pulled from iTunes and dropped from Baby’s album.

Kelly Rowland is seeking a big name sponsors for her latest music video – the singer’s reps have sent out mass emails urging big brands to appear in the promo.

Rowland is following the record industry’s latest craze of teaming up with famous companies to cover the cost of music videos. Last month, Lady Gaga and Kellz’ former Destiny’s Child bandmate Beyonce released their groundbreaking Telephone video, which features product placements from Virgin Mobile, Coca-Cola, Hewlett Packard, and Polaroid, as well as a number of snack products.

According to The New York Post’s Page Six, the singer’s reps at Universal Motown are on the hunt for marketing executives to pay for their products to appear in the upcoming for the debut single from the star’s new LP. The disc will be her first since parting ways with ex-manager Mathew Knowles and former label Columbia Records, and is described as a Donna Summer/Diana Ross-inspired, dance-infused mix straight out of the ’70s.

The email reads: “We are currently seeking brands who want to partner with us for the upcoming (Grammy-winning, platinum-selling) Kelly Rowland music video for the first single off of (sic) her new album. We are primed for an outstanding project. This will be a video that is serviced around the world.”

Eighties pop star Cyndi Lauper teamed up with femcee Lil Kim for a duet performance of Cyndi’s smash classic “Time After Time” at the 91st birthday concert for former South African president Nelson Mandela. The Nelson Mandela Foundation and 46664 hosted the headliner event at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on Saturday, July 18.
