Cute Overload! He was “bustin’ rhymes” on wax when you were still a twinkle in your mother’s eye. These days he keeps busy busting criminals as part of the cast on CBS’ breakout hit NCIS: LA. But hip-hop pioneer LL Cool J is never too busy for a little quality time with his youngest daughter, Nina, 10.

Redbook’s October issue includes a new feature, titled “My Biggest Fan,” in which LL chats with his daughter.

Nina: Daddy, I love Miley Cyrus. What’s your favorite song of hers?
LL: “Party in the USA.” It’s a real fun song. I just wish my name were in it.

Nina: Daaaad, that’s my question — you’re supposed to answer it! I’d like an iPad, a new phone, or a puppy. So what would it be?
LL: I think it’s obvious we grew up in different neighborhoods. I would take you out for ice cream.

In addition to Nina, LL and his high school sweetheart-turned-wife Simone are also the proud parents of son Najee, 21, and daughters Italia, 20, and Samaria, 16.

The 25th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place March 15 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. To be eligible, an act must have released its first single or album at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. This year’s nominees had to release their first single no later than 1984.

LL recently premiered in the critically-acclaimed new CBS spinoff spinoff NCIS: Los Angeles.
