Ludacris has signed on for an eco-centric reality competition under the Discovery Network’s Planet Green Channel. Battleground Earth will feature Ludacris and rocker Tommy Lee competing in various challenges around the country that highlight eco-friendly issues. Planet Green debuts on June 4th, with Battleground Earth’s projected premiere set for July or August.

“Battleground will feature Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Tommy Lee criss-crossing the country competing in various challenges designed to highlight green issues. The series will culminate with the two artists converging in Los Angeles to co-headline a concert at the Greek Theater with proceeds benefiting Griffith Park.”

Ludacris has launched a website to seek out talented songwriters. WeMix.com invites members to submit homemade music online and to collaborate with other artists on the community site. One member will have the chance to record a track with Luda and some other “all-stars” in a studio.

Ludacris has teamed up with chef Chris Yeo to open a new oriental restaurant in Atlanta. Ludacris will open Straits Atlanta in April.

“During my travels, I’ve experienced some of the most diverse international culinary flavours in the world. “After experiencing Yeo’s modern spin on Singaporean cuisine combined with the sexy dining experience, I wanted to bring this restaurant home to Atlanta.”

Ludacris has been selected to perform at ESPN Next party on Feb. 1. The Super Bowl pre-party will highlight future trends in sports, technology and lifestyle.
