Mary J. Blige, who is already an ambassador for beauty line Carol’s Daughter, is working on releasing a fragrance with the brand. My Life by Mary J. Blige, named in honor of the Grammy winner’s second album, will arrive in department stores across the U.S. next year.
“I am Carol’s Daughter and my fans are Carol’s Daughter users” she said. “So it just made sense to partner.”

Mary J. Blige will embark on a new tour next month. The Love Soul Tour, featuring Robin Thicke and Dave Young, will kick off Sept. 13 in North Charleston, SC.

Mary J. Blige was sued in a California court on Wednesday by a West Coast production company who have accused the multiplatinum-selling singer of swiping her hit single “Work That” from their catalogue of songs.

I want to pay for the balance on the dress.” The customer at first declined Blige’s offer but relented after the singer said, “I know what it’s like to want something and not be able to have it. I insist.” The customer wanted to send her a check for the balance, but Blige said, “Just enjoy it. I’m blessed, so let me do this.”
