Lil Romeo isn’t so little any more and now that the “True Love” rapper is all grown and studying at the University of Southern California, he’s eager to advene his family’s legacy with his turn on the upcoming 12th season of Dancing With The Stars.

Romeo’s music mogul pop — No Limit founder Master P — endured painfully low scores and secured a place as one of the worst contestants in DWTS history when he stepped in to hoff for his then-injured son on the show back 2006 .

“I’m here to take over, you know, the king did his thing, now it’s the prince’s turn,” Romeo told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Thursday’s Access Hollywood Live. “I’m here to show the people that the Millers [can] dance…A lot of people don’t know — the only reason he did the show was because I injured my ankle. I was supposed to do that season,” Romeo explained.

“I think I was like 13 or 14. I would have been the youngest person, and my dad didn’t rehearse — he only had two days to rehearse — and I was like, ‘Dad, if you do this for me, I promise, I will one day do ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and redeem our legacy.’”

“This will change the way people think about VH1—it’s a positive show. This is who I evolved into…I realized that I could have more to offer to people than just hip-hop,” Master P explains. “My goal is to replace [BET founder] Bob Johnson, and that’s why I started Better Black TV, so people can realize that if you educate yourself and you get your mind right, you can be whatever. I mean, now that Obama is the first African American president, you can be a president if you want to!”

“In 2010, Better Black TV will be up and running. It’s just a lot that you have to go through, getting all these different certifications, federal approvals, and it takes time. It’s not something that can happen overnight. And while I’m in that process right now, I’m saying, let me take some of my shows like No Excuses and take it to other networks so people can see that this is the type of quality shows we’re making. And this is what you would see eventually on Better Black TV. You’ll see entertainment and education together—that’s what it’s about with me.”

No Excuses, a half-hour special premiering Monday, Oct. 26 @ 10:30PM, features P — whose real name is Percy Miller — trying to help a former gang member turn his life around through his philosophy of “work hard and never make excuses.”

“People think that the only thing that sells on TV is sex or people showing off their lifestyle or what not, but people want to think, too. They want to be educated,” he explains. “My goal is to touch people. To show others what someone had to go through to change their life so that maybe someone watching can do the same.”

Master P has a new job…as a Snickers hypeman.

Master P, or P. Miller as he now prefers to be called, is launching a new cable network for people of color. Better Black Television will premiere in 2009 to provide a “positive content for a black and brown culture.”

BBTV will feature scripted, unscripted and news programming, as well as “responsible hip-hop music and videos,” P said in a statment last week.

“I believe that there is a market in our community for a new diverse network that provides a new brand of superior programming that caters to all aspects of television, from reality to original programming,” he said.

Sunset and Vine: Video show hosted by Vyshonn Miller and Brittany Phillips that will showcase the top hip-hop and R&B acts as well as play classic videos.

Hip-Hop Garage Show: Saturday show that will play new and upcoming music.

No Limit CEO Percy Miller says he will no longer answer to the moniker that made him famous. The rapper has officially changed his name to P. Miller.

“I’m changing my name because Master P is who I used to be,” P announced in a statement Wednesday. “I call it my childhood and P. Miller marks my manhood.”

“I wouldn’t change my past because it’s groomed me to be the man I am today. People grow mentally and spiritually through life experiences, but when you come from hip-hop it’s almost impossible to move past the stereotypes associated with it.”

“I’ve branched out into so many different arenas that range from being the first African-American to have a clothing line at Wal-Mart, to writing books, and speaking on Capitol Hill, but all that gets overshadowed because I come from the hip-hop industry. There’re a lot of people out there, who are afraid to grow up and change, but I’m not and P. Miller is the evolution of me, Percy Miller the entrepreneur, the business man.”
