BLACKsummers’night — the NeoSoul King’s first album in nearly eight years — is set for a release on July 7 on Columbia Records.

Maxwell’s back. After a eight year hiatus, neo-soul vet Maxwell is back on the scene with a new album, BLACKsummer’snight. Featuring the single “Pretty Wings,” the LP will arrive in stores on July 7.
Maxwell will kick off his first tour in six years this Fall, beginning October 8 in Boston and running through November 21 in Philadelphia.
Maxwell, who has not released an album since his 2001 LP, Now, is recording material for a three-part follow-up, titled Black Summers’ Night.
