Reality tart Tila Tequila wasn’t the only star being pelted with sharp objects at last weekend’s Gathering of the Juggalos Concert in Illinois.

Wu-Tang Clan veteran and notorious tax cheat Method Man also left the stage bloodied following his Saturday night set with longtime partner Redman. Meth suffered a gash on the left side of his face during the explosive show after someone in the audience tossed what appeared to be a full beer can at the rapper’s head.

Former Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man pleaded guilty on Monday to evading state taxes over a four-year period.

The musician was arrested Oct. 9 on charges he failed to pay more than $106,000 in state and personal income taxes. His Lincoln Navigator was even repossessed. Meth later jokingly blamed his tax troubles on cloudy memory and marijuana addiction.

He pleaded guilty this afternoon to a charge of attempted failure to pay tax in a Long Island courtroom on Friday and wrote a check on the spot for the final $40,000 restitution payment.

“Failure to pay your taxes is not a victimless crime,” said Richmond County District Attorney Daniel Donovan. “In these days of massive budget shortfalls and service cuts, tax evasion is a crime against all New Yorkers. Whether you are a celebrity or an ‘Average Joe,’ you will be investigated, arrested and prosecuted.”

Meth was sentenced to a conditional discharge, which means the arrest will be purged from his record if he stays out of trouble.

“You know, when you don’t file [your taxes], that’s what happens,” Method Man explained of his recent tax troubles in an interview with Big Tigger on Wednesday. “So that’s the lesson I learned. I think it was four years and after three years that’s when it’s a problem. It’s not a money thing because I paid it when they did that thing with the truck and contrary to everyone’s belief, the truck wasn’t repossessed. It’s different when the government comes and takes a truck, they want their money. I took the black people route. I took the ghetto route. [laughs] But you know, you can’t be waiting ’til the last minute and stuff like that. If it’s not right there in your face, then these things happen…It’s my fault totally. I just don’t like things to get blown outta portion and I’m glad that you gave me the option to speak my peace…The government is not playing, Uncle Sam pimp slapped me and it’s a lesson learned and I’m gonna take this and learn from it. Everybody [in jail] was cool, I live in Staten Island so it was nothing.”

“Myself, I’m a pothead,” he told The NY Daily News at the time. “It’s no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else.”

He will be arraigned later today at Staten Island criminal court and could face four years in jail if convicted.

Method Man will shoot you, if you ask for his autograph. Too weed will do that to you. A Houston woman who is suing the Wu-Tang star, claiming he shot her with a pellet gun after she asked for autograph after a concert with Redman last November.

He says he was signing autographs out the back window of his tour bus when he suddenly pulled out the weapon unloaded into her chest multiple times.

“These aren’t life or death injuries. She’s alive. She’s not paralyzed. She’s moved on with her life as far as the injuries are concerned, but punitive damages are to punish the person who did the damage, and that’s the reason we’ve done this,” her attorney, Daniel Horowitz, tells ABC.

Method Man insists he’s not broke. In fact, he’s got a very interesting reason for why New York State tax collectors repoed his 2008 Lincoln Navigator from his Staten Island home last week–it’s because he is a weedhead.

Meth says he forgot he owes $50,000 in back government taxes because he spends his days blowing trees. But the Wu-Tang star, whose real name is Clifford Smith, fully intends to pay the U.S. Department of Taxation what he owes, insisting he has plenty of money in the bank.

“I knew why they (the repossession officers) were there. It wasn’t like ‘Oh my God! Noo!! Don’t take it!’ I was half-dressed, and it was so early that I just said, ‘Okay, you’re taking the truck,’” Meth said in an interview with The NY Daily News on Friday.

He adds: “Myself, I’m a pothead. It’s no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else. Sure, (the tax department) sent letters to my house saying, ‘We need this money.’ They started sending them in 2002. Here it is, 2009, and I never paid this shit, because I don’t think like that!
“I could have easily just written them a cheque for whatever amount, but no – I waited until they knocked on this door and were like, ‘We got your truck and we outta here!’”

“Now I’m thinking we’ve gotta get our truck back, which means I have to get all my paperwork together. That means days of going through mail, ’cause I got mail like woah (a lot of letters),” Meth explains. “I’ve found checks from 2005 that have never been opened yet. And we’re talking a significant amount of money! But I never opened (the tax department’s) letters – so this is how the tax man came to Meth’s house and took his truck. Not because I was broke! I got plenty of money!”

The vehicle was reportedly seized Wednesday from the Wu-Tang Clan member’s home in Staten Island, NY.

Method Man discussed his new role on the cable hit The Wackness with Fox 5 NYC on Thursday.

Kanye West, Common, Method Man and Redman, and their respective Universal Music Group labels, were sued on Thursday by the daughter of Joe Farrell for sampling the late jazz musician’s work without a clearance.

Method Man will guest star on an upcoming episode of NBC’s Law & Order: SVU at 10 pm on December 4th.

In the episode, “Snitch,” the wife of a Nigerian polygamist is murdered and the man feels the crime may be a result of his testimony in a separate case. The episode airs at 10:00 p.m. EST on December 4.
