Michael hits stores and iTunes Dec. 14.

A collaboration between Senegalese singer-producer Akon and the late King of Pop Michael Jackson recorded three years ago will go on sale on Monday, Nov. 15 as the first single off an album of new music from Jackson, Sony Records confirmed on Thursday.

“The world was not ready to hear ‘Hold My Hand’ when it leaked a couple years ago. We were devastated about it,” says Akon, who worked with Michael before his death of a propofol overdose in June 2009. “But its time has definitely come; now in its final state, it has become an incredible, beautiful, anthemic song. I’m so proud to have had the chance to work with Michael, one of my all time idols.”

The self-titled project also features collaborations with 50 Cent and Lenny Kravitz.

Michael — the first album of new material from the singer since 2001′s Invincible — drops Dec. 14.

A new media-bashing single from the late King of Pop Michael Jackson — entitled “Breaking News” — hit the Interwebs on Monday, sparking controversy about just who’s singing the song.

The track is described as “a never heard before song by Michael” that was recorded in 2007 in New Jersey and was recently remastered. Sony Records and Jackson’s estate announced last week that they’ll be releasing a new album, Michael, on Dec. 14.

The Michael collection has caused anger amongst The oft-divided Jackson family. The musical clan believe the singer would not have wanted the material released and claim Breaking News doesn’t even feature Michael’s voice!

“If Michael had wanted this music released he would have done so before his death,” Brian Oxman, a lawyer for Joe Jackson, said in a statement. “The songs which are being released on the new album were unfinished and incomplete tracks that Michael said over and over many times he never wanted released. We should honor Michael’s wishes.”

Looks like the apple doesn’t fall far from the psycho. “Deuces” is aces for Chris Brown. The 21-year-old’s latest song hit the top spot of Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart last week, but Breezy’s mom — Joyce Hawkins — may have set her son’s journey down the comeback trail back a few hundred paces with an outrageous Tuesday afternoon Tweet that seems to compare her embattled spawn to the legendary King of Pop.

Chris has not had much success musically since a Feb. 2009 altercation with then-girlfriend Rihanna nearly landed the former R&B Good Boy behind bars. He released his third album “Graffiti” in Dec. 2009 and it’s his lowest selling CD to date.

“Deuces” appears on Brown’s mixtape, Fan of a Fan, and features rappers Tyga and Kevin McCall.

Can you believe it’s been a year since the music world lost The Great Michael Jackson. Officials at star-studded Hollywood cemetery Forest Lawn says it welcomes Michael Jackson fans for the one-year anniversary of his death this Friday, but there will be some restrictions in place to preserve the sanctity of the grounds.

MJ fans will be allowed to leave flowers near the singer’s burial site during tomorrow’s morbid tributes, but the cemetery has banned balloons, candles, and doves, officials announced Wednesday. Cameras, balloons, spinners, statues, posters, incense, and radios will also not be permitted.

Forest Lawn is expecting “significant” numbers of visitors throughout the day. It reserved the right to throw out fans making too much noise or behaving in what it considered a disrespectful manner.

Jackson, 50, died of a propofol overdose in Los Angeles on June 25, 2009. His personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter and is awaiting trial.

Mutli-talented Bad Boy star Janelle Monae performed a cover of Charlie Chaplin’s “Smile” for Billboard Magazine Mash-Up Monday, as the world premireres to celebrate the King of Pop’s life on the first anniversary of his death, this Friday, June 25.

“Emotionally, I’ve been connected to this song for quite some time,” Janelle explains. “It’s one of those classic standards, it’s been sung by a lot of the greats, Stevie Wonder to Nat King Cole to Micheal Jackson to Frank Sinatra.”

Michael Jackson’s father blames his estranged wife Katherine for their son’s death.

Joe Jackson holds Katherine responsible for not doing enough to stop late “Thriller” star Michael Jackson from abusing prescription drugs. Joe – who was accused of beating and tormenting the King of Pop during his childhood – claims he asked Katherine several times to stage an intervention for Michael because he knew the star wouldn’t listen to him.

MJ, 50, died of acute propofol intoxication last June 25.

“Katherine was weeping uncontrollably and highly upset. But I didn’t give her a hug because I was mad at her crying. I said, ‘If you had listened to me Michael would be living now.’ I kept thinking about the times I had stood in front of her saying something was wrong,” Joe spat bitterly in a recent interview with News of the World.

“I couldn’t bottle up my feelings. Katherine didn’t say a word – I had to get away from her. If she’d done what I asked, Michael would be here today. I am incensed with her. She could have made a difference,” Joe added. “In Michael’s final months alive I said to her many times that I couldn’t get through to him – and that she needed to help her son. I had begged her to go over and stay with him, but she insisted he needed his privacy and gave him the slack she thought he needed. A child will listen to his mother more than his father – and Michael was a Mommy’s boy.”
