Chris had been on-board to produce the eagerly-awaited Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said? alongside Jennifer — who just happens to be the director of the animal rescue group Pryor’s Pets. The organization, founded by Richard before his death in 2005, was created to rescue abused and neglected dogs.

“Among the 40 dogs we are currently caring for are seven pit bulls….each one is a sweet and affectionate dog who mistreated or dumped or neglected all because of their breed.”

After watching Chris’ controversial appearance on Leno, a fuming Jennifer promptly alerted her attorney that she no longer wants Chris involved in the film project.

“For your information, Chris, what Michael Vick did was to torture, drown, electrocute, and murder dogs all for fun and profit. He went to prison for felony animal cruelty! That’s what he did!” Jennifer thundered at the comic. “These types of comments only encourage abuse and misunderstanding of their breed, as well as actual dog-fighting,” she added.

The Richard Pryor biopic — which is expected to star Marlon Wayans — hits theaters in 2011.

The Michael Vick Project will premiere on Bamboozled Entertainment Television, AKA BET, later this year and is said to focus on the NFL quarterback’s controversial comeback with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Vick — once the NFL’s highest-paid player — will serve the remainder of his sentence on home confinement with an electronic monitoring device at his five-bedroom home in Hampton, VA.

He will remain on probation for the next three years.

Michael Vick, who’s currently serving a twenty-three month sentence in federal prison for animal cruelty, filed for Chapter 11 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court Monday. The disgraced former Atlanta Falcons quarterback owes between $10 and $50 million to creditors.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick has voluntarily surrendered to U.S. marshals in Virginia, three weeks ahead of his formal sentencing on a dogfighting charge.

Michael Vick entered a guilty plea for dogfighting before a judge in Richmond, VA on Monday morning. After his plea the judge told him, “You’re taking your chances here. You’ll have to live with whatever decision I make.”

“I will redeem myself” Vick told the press after the hearing. “I have to.”

“I was ashamed and totally disappointed in myself, to say the least. I want to apologize to all the young kids out there for my immature acts. What I did was very immature, so that means I need to grow up.”

“I totally ask for forgiveness and understanding as I move forward to be a better Michael Vick the person, not the football player.”

Michael Vick has been suspensed by the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons quarterback has been indefinitely suspended without pay from the NFL, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced on Friday.

White, president of the group’s Atlanta chapter. “We further ask the NFL, Falcons, and the sponsors not to permanently ban Mr. Vick from his ability to bring hours of enjoyment to fans all over this country.”

FOX News reports Michael Vick has accepted a plea deal for dogfighting charges. He will plead guilty to felony conspiracy next Monday and will likely serve twenty-four months behind bars. Mike’s codefendants each entered plea agreements and were prepared to testify against the Atlanta Falcons QB, fingering him in the hangings and drownings of at least eight dogs who were underachieving in dogfights. He deserves every day. What an asshat.
