Kanye West’s video for “Monster” has been temporarily pulled by MTV following a series of complaints from feminist groups. The video, which also features Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj, features various depictions of dead women and numerous women’s rights activists are not happy.
When Young Money Millionaire dropped his debut album last summer, MTV aired a one-hour documentary chronicling the former Canadian child star’s rise to fame. Now that the clique’s First Lady, hip-hop femcee Nicki Minaj is rolling out a debut disc of her own, the network is plotting the release of a similar docu-soap.

Sucker Free is back in effect. MTV2 has tapped New York City DJ/radio personality DJ Envy (Power 105.1) to host a new weekday (Monday-Thursday) revival of its hit music video countdown Sucker Free.
R&B star Omarion has been tapped to replace accused child rapist Shane Sparks as a judge on the MTV reality dance competition America’s Next Dance Crew. The move comes after the choreographer was arrested on suspicion of child molestation in October .
The former B2K singer will take a spot on the judging panel — alongside JC Chasez and Lil Mama — when the fifth season of the ratings juggernaut begins later this month.
“I’m so excited to be a judge on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. Dancing and performing is what I do and being a judge on this show will allow me to give creative feedback to the newest and hottest dancers on the rise,” Omarion said in a release Wednesday.
