Hip-hop star Nas has inked a one-year deal with to create an 80s-inspired clothing line with former footwear giant Fila.
“My best friend Will and I loved Fila. It represented prestige and everything that was cool to us. When Will passed, we buried him in a black Fila sweat suit, so doing a deal with them has a lot of significance for me,” Nas said in a statement Tuesday.
Nas’ new album has been pushed back two weeks. The “Album Formerly Known As Nigger,” now reclassified as an untitled project, will be released July 15th.
