Hip-hop has lost one of its most beloved hook singers. Crooner Nathaniel D. Hale — best known in the music industry as Nate Dogg — passed away in his native Long Beach, California on Tuesday.
He was 41.

Sad news for Nate Dogg. The singer has been left paralyzed down one side of his body after suffering a mild stroke over the festive season. Nate was admitted to Pomona Valley Hospital in California in December after a stroke in December. The thirty-nine year-old being unable to move the left side of his body, and he is now recovering in an occupational rehab faclity. His representative, Rod MCGrew, tells MTV.com: “Time will tell everything, obviously. The doctor can only guess what the outcome will be. But based on situations with similar people his age, and based on his health, the prognosis is good right now.”
