Ne-Yo, 31, welcomed his second child with longtime girlfriend Monyetta Shaw on Monday.

Later on Friday moring, Ne-Yo Tweeted:

“Sal-u twit fam. If you are truly fam you’ll help me welcome the heir to my throne, born OCT.9TH at 6 pounds, 10 ounces! Mason Evan Smith!”

The couple’s second baby comes less than a year after they welcomed daughter Madilyn Grace in Nov. 2010.

Ne-Yo is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Atlanta boutique owner Monyetta Shaw, a rep for the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter told Us Weekly Wednesday. The soon-to-be newlyweds — who welcomed their first daughter, Madilyn Grace, in Nov. 2010 — are expecting their second child together.

While Usher is hi-fiving himself for buying the cash cow called Justin Bieber, fellow R&B artist is Ne-Yo is haunted by multimillion-dollar regret for rejecting the priceless pop prince.

The “Sexy Love” hitmaker was among the first artists tapped to mentor Biebs, now 16, during his pre-fame days as a YouTube sensation, but refused the offer because “he didn’t know what music to make with an 11-year-old boy.” Ne-Yo now admits that watching Bieber go on to sign with Usher and become the ultimate tween-girl fantasy — up for two awards at this weekend’s 2011 Grammy Awards — is humbling.

“Absolutely… I absolutely regret not signing him. He is hugely talented. If I had signed him, it probably would have worked out the same as Justin is hugely talented and deserves the success,” he told MTV UK this week. “I am writing for Justin but I’m finding it kinda hard as it’s a long time since I was 16 years old. At the moment, I’m just playing around with a few ideas for him.”

R&B’s Distinguished Gentleman Ne-Yo will make a killing on an upcoming episode of the CBS forensic crime drama CSI: NY.

The singer and new dad, real name Shaffer Chimere Smith, will play a suave assassin in an eppy expected to air during February sweeps, a rep for the series said Wednesday.

“Ne-Yo will be playing a professional hitman who doesn’t fit the usual image of a hired killer. This guy carries himself with elegant style but a violent efficiency.”

Ne-Yo is just one in a long line of celebs to hit the CSI franchise; the series has previously featured guest spots by pop star Justin Bieber and socialite Kim Kardashian.

The star’s previous acting roles include appearances in 2007 film Stomp the Yard and an upcoming part in World War II drama Red Tails.

CSI: NY airs on Fridays @ 9/8c on CBS.

Ne-Yo’s a dad!

The multi-award-winning R&B singer-songwriter, 31, became a first time pop this week after his actress girlfriend Monyetta Shaw reportedly went into early labor on Friday night and delivered a baby girl.

Though Shaw wasn’t due to deliver until January, she gave birth prematurely at an Atlanta, Georgia, hospital.

The “Sexy Love” singer almost missed the birth! He was at a charity event when he received word of the impending arrival, but was reportedly able to make it to the hospital in time to witness his daughter’s arrival.

No word on a name yet. Ne-Ya perhaps?

This just in: Ne-Yo and Diddy-Dirty Money will perform at the American Music Awards, airing live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles Sunday, Nov. 21 on ABC.

Christina Aguilera, Justin Bieber, and Ke$ha are also expected to perform at this year’s ceremony.

Ne-Yo is partnering with Spider-Man creator Stan Lee for his first foray as a comic book hero.

The “So Sick” hitmaker is teaming up with Marvel Comics legend Lee to release Libra Scale, a graphic novel that will accompany his forthcoming album. On the colorful pages of the comic — which is currently in production — Ne-Yo will be turned into a man named Jerome.

“I’ve been a fan for years. I’m trying not to geek-out being with Stan. It’s cool I can take this comic element of myself and blend it to the music element. I got to draw characters myself.”

The Libra Scale Comic is expected to debut later this year.

As Margaret Cho took her final bow, expectant dad Ne-Yo stopped by the Dancing With The Stars Results Show on Tuesday night to perform his new single “One in a Million,” the latest release from his upcoming fourth album Libra Scale, dropping Nov. 22.

Hmmm — Ne-Yo’s latest video, “One In A Million,” feels very familiar.

Earlier this summer, concert promoter Kenyohn Clark sued Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Smith, and promoter Mike Esterman. Clark claimed that Esterman misled him and failed to return a $95,000 deposit even though the “Champagne Life” singer played out of the 2008 performance at the last minute.

Court documents show Ne-Yo testified at trial that he knew in his “heart of hearts” that the deposit should have been returned to Clark.

After a four-day trial, Anne Arundel County Circuit Judge Philip Caroom ordered the payment returned to Clark on Tuesday.
