Ne-Yo’s highly-anticipated fourth album has been pushed back again.
Libra Scale — which features the singles “Beautiful Monster” and “Champagne Life” — is now set to drop Oct. 19, the day after the crooner’s 31st birthday.
The album had previously been scheduled to hit stores on Sept. 21 and Oct. 5.
Ne-Yo isn’t letting a little thing like fatherhood negatively impact his budding social calendar.
The “Sexy Love” star has no plans to settle down despite expecting his first child later this year. Ne-Yo says he can’t be expected to settle down with just one woman.
The singer/songwriter — whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith — is set to be a first-time dad when he welcomes a son or daughter with Monyetta Shaw (photographed above) later this year. But he insists he won’t be marrying Shaw anytime soon – because he still wants to date other women.
“I have a friend. Not a girlfriend. She’s carrying my child but knows I can’t commit. She doesn’t mind other women,” he told Britain’s The Sun last week.

“Beautiful Monster” is on the verge of cracking the Top 50 while “Champagne Life” is doing it’s thing on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Song chart.
Today, Ne-Yo’s giving us “Hurt Me,” a spankin’ new track produced by Stargate. The track is a catchy uptempo urban/pop/dance track that clearly fits in with the storybook concept of the album.

The mothers of rappers T-Pain, Lil Wayne and R&B singer Ne-Yo are joining forces to launch their own television talk show inspired by ABC’s Emmy-winning daytime series The View, AllHipHop.com has learned.
Aliyah “Mama Pain” Najm (T-Pain‘s mother), Jacida Carter (Lil Wayne’s mother), and H. Loraine Smith (Ne-Yo’s mother) are hoping to enhance their viewers “educationally, economically, socially and culturally” with discussions on current events, important topics, interviews, and feature segments, according to a statement issued Tuesday.
“Our vision is to be a premier talk show that delivers a creative and informative format that assists viewers in educating and solving challenging issues,” Najm told AllHipHop. “There are situations in our communities, cities, states and even nationwide that people have made us aware of and they want to resolve the issues, but they just don’t know where to get help or how to properly handle certain issues,” Najm said.
Dinner Table Discussions is scheduled to premiere next year. Producers are currently in discussions with several networks interested in picking up the program.
