If Nelly ever decides to hang up his microphone, a promising career may await him in Tinseltown!

The hip-hopster’s got a date in TV’s most famous zip code.

The “Just a Dream” rapper joins CSI: NY-bound crooner Ne-Yo as the latest Black Hollywood star to bring his talents to primetime TV.

Nelly’s been tipped for a trip to Beverly Hills after landing an appearance on the CW teen soap 90210, Movieline.com said Thursday. The rapper will play himself in an episode of the show that will see characters Dixon (Tristan Wilds) and Navid (Michael Steger) getting involved in the video shoot for Nelly’s song “She’s So Fly.”

Nelly’s 90210 guest spot is set to debut early next year.

90210 airs Monday nights @ 8/7c on The CW.

In case you needed further confirmation that it is no longer 2002 — Nelly has flopped on the charts. Even a Top 10 single in the form of the hit “Just a Dream,” Nelly’s latest album, 5.0, landed at a disappointing No. 10 on the Billboard 200, selling a mere 63,000 copies.

Nelly — who earlier this month complained that he’s never been given his just desserts as a lyricist — is furious with Motown Records for failing to properly promote the disc after a string of fans Tweeted him admitting they had no idea the album had been released. The St. Louis native even blasted his label for sending out a limited number of albums, despite the success of “Just a Dream.”

The LP is Nelly’s lowest-charting album to date. His past five efforts all peaked within the Top 3.

Nelly Tweeted: “A record deal is a 50/50 partnership! As (an) artist it’s your job to provide the record company with music that they (record company) can sell! Thing about the partnership is that (in) the public eye the responsibility is not 50/50! The artist is always the 1 who catches 90 per cent of the blame. When (an) artist doesn’t deliver sufficient material they gets its budget cut for (their) next album or worse dropped from the label!… Who should be held responsible wen (sic) (an) artist has a history for selling records so it’s not like a new artist (and) no1 (sic) knows his (or) her name?…”

He continued: “The fact is that some1 (sic) needs to hold up there (sic) end of the partnership!… If u (sic) only ship 200thound (200,000 copies) of an album how many are u f**king tryen (sic) to sell?? The artist does (not) control that nor does he or she control marketing.”

He isn’t done yet: He continued: “So whose fault is it when a artist gives the label not only a #1 hit but there first top40 #1 in label history! Sell 2mill n singles n 2.5month? Who should be held responsible wen an artist has a history for selling records…but if folks say they didn’t even no wen the album came out????? Every1 luvs da album and say its crazy! So wen u hear folks say they didnt no it was out r there were hardly any in the store! WTF?”

Why is Nelly blaming Motown for his lackluster album sales when we all know who the real culprit is: Kat Stacks!

Nellz hasn’t been right since he was romantically-linked to that semen receptacle.

Add Nelly to the list of rappers whining over BET’s list of Top 10 Rappers of the 21st Century.

A decade into his career, the “Country Grammar” rapper says he’s still not getting the respect he merits.

“It’s a weird feeling. For some reason, people want to overlook the things I’ve accomplished from 1999 to now,” Nelly told his hometown newspaper, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, this week.

“We busted our asses, just to have people overlook it and downplay it. After so much success in the beginning, they wait for you to not succeed,” says the hip-hopster, who is topping the pop chart for the fifth time with his new single, “Just a Dream” (Which he performed on Ellen this week, mind you).

Nelly said his exclusion from BET’s roundup of the century’s most accomplished rappers was a slap in the face to his city.

“You can’t sit up there and tell us we didn’t stand up together for ‘Country Grammar. We got talent here. Don’t denounce the things we accomplished.”

The video features Vampire Diaries actress/singer Kat Graham as Nelly’s love interest.

In what may be the worst thing to happen to the “Country Grammar” hitmaker’s career since the evolution of Kat Stacks, Nelly is helping his fans work their waistlines down to ’26″ with the release of a new fitness DVD, entitled Celebrity Sweat.

The heavily-muscled star — who regularly plays basketball, baseball and football — plans to introduce an exercise regime aimed at helping others achieve the buff and chiseled physique he’s become known for.

“People think I just woke up all of a sudden and I was this big, but they haven’t been paying attention… If you look at the pictures from ’04 to now, you can see the change. You can see me go from 160 to 170, 170 to 175, 175 to 180 to 190 (pounds). You put in all this hard work, and people want to discredit you. But you can transform your body in six to eight months. In two years, you can create a whole new person.”

Nelly is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of an unidentified man who broke into his suburban St. Louis home earlier this month.

Police in St. Louis are looking for an intruder who broke into rapper Nelly’s house early this morning and fled with a duffel bag full of goods.

County police spokesman Rick Eckhard said Friday the suspect entered and left through a window in Nelly’s home in the St. Louis suburb of Wildwood. Police were called at 7AM.

Nelly, whose name is Cornell Haynes, Jr., was not home at the time.

The couple managed to keep their romance under wraps until Nelly confirmed that the pair were dating last November, but now the twosome has split amid claims that the rapper wasn’t ready to settle down with Ashanti.

According to The New York Daily News, Nelly has been nursing his broken heart by spending time with Canadian video model Melyssa Ford.

Nelly is pitching a weekly variety TV series to several networks.

Nelly’s Night in Vegas would feature Nelly performing and interacting with celebs, Variety reported on Thursday.

“I was thinking about what was missing on TV, and when this idea came about, it made sense for me,” says Nelly, whose real name Cornell Iral Haynes Jr. “We do have talkshows, but no one’s speaking from the pop culture perspective. Let’s get a little more pop, a little more edge, a little bit younger, and not look like you’re sitting in the principal’s office. As a performer, that’s the type of show you look forward to going on.”

After five years of low-profile dating, Nelly is ready to propose to Grammy Award-winning singer Ashanti. So what’s holding him back? Rumor has it it’s Ashanti’s mother, Tina Douglas.

“Tina sticks her nose in everything because she’s also Ashanti’s manager,” whispers one Star Magazine snitch. “She’s always pushing Ashanti to make more money, to always look great. It stresses her out, and Nelly doesn’t like that.’”

“Tina has such a strong personality that she’s kind of afraid of her,” adds the spy.

“Before he makes her his wife. Nelly wants to know that Ashanti can make decisions on her own.’”
