But that’s a different story for a different day…) Ms. Arnold returns to the R&B world with a track that samples the late Notorious B.I.G.’s famed “Who Shot Ya?” and borrows the line “Like sweet morning dew/ I take one look at you/ And it was plain to see/ You were my destiny…” from Mary J. Blige’s 1995 hit, “You’re All I Need to Get By.”

New Life is tentatively scheduled for release on Oct. 4.

Singing superstar Beyonce has recorded a cover “God Bless The USA” that will benefit charity once it goes on sale via iTunes on Friday.

Bey, 29, first recorded an unreleased version of country crooner Lee Greenwood’s 1984 anthem when she was an instrumental part of the Obama inauguration festivities back in 2008. Proceeds from the sale of the single will be donated to the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund. The foundation, set up in 1985, has distributed over $114 million to the families of New York City police and fire personnel who have perished in the line of duty. The track arrives just as President Obama prepares to visit Manhattan’s Ground Zero on Thursday, to honor those lost on 9/11 in the wake of the assassination of terror mastermind Osama Bin Laden.

Beyonce’s “God Bless The USA” makes its world premiere on Thursday’s edition of Piers Morgan Tonight, airing at 9pm ET on CNN.

The track heavily samples “Pon De Floor,” which was a hit for Major Lazer back in 2009. A video for the single was shot in Los Angeles last week with Lady Gaga-favoree director Franic Lawrence. Word is the former Child of Destiny flew in more than 200 dancers from Africa for starring spots in the vid.

“Who run the world? Girls,” with further declarations of female empowerment including: “Some of them men think they freak this like we do/ But no they don’t/ Make your cheque come at they neck/ Disrespect us no they won’t…” Mrs. Knowles-Carter chants on the chorus.

A release date has not yet been confirmed, Beyonce is expected to be released in June, shortly ahead of her headlining slot at this year’s Glastonbury Festival in the UK.

High-stepping pop princess Britney Spears is making her mark on the World of R&B. The “Hold It Against Me” hitmaker who will be hitting the road on tour with hip-hop femcee Nicki Minaj this summer has lent her famous voice to a remixed version of Rihanna’s “Too Hot for Radio” hot “S&M.”

The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul is back with new music! R&B queen Mary J. Blige will release a new album — titled My Life II, The Journey Continues — this fall.

Blige’s 1994 Diddy-produced disc My Life — featuring hits like “All Night Long” and “I’m Going Down” — was certified three-times platinum and is considered to be one of the most prolific works of the Grammy winner’s nearly 20 year career. In 2003, the album was ranked number 279 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s listing of the 500 Greatest Albums of All-Time. Three years later, it was included in TIME’s 100 Greatest Albums of All-Time.

“From me to you, ‘My Life II’…..our journey together continues in this life. It’s a gift to be able to relate and identify with my fans at all times. This album is a reflection of the times and lives of people all around me,” Blige said in a statement about the album, due Sept. 20.

Kardashian officially released her new single, “Jam (Turn it Up),” on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show this week. The song — which is best described as a mix between Lady Gaga and broken toaster — was produced by pop/hip-hop superproducer Terius “The-Dream” Nash.

“I can’t believe it’s finally released!” Kim wrote in a blog posting Wednesday. “This was definitely something that was out of my comfort zone, but I’m so glad that I met with The Dream and that we worked on this project together.”
