Chronic smoker NORE celebrated his birthday with a packed house and a pretty delectable pack of Newports during a bash in South Beach over the weekend.

N.O.R.E. is celebrating a new addition to his family – his girlfriend has given birth to a baby boy.
One half of hip-hop duo Capone-N-Noreaga broke the happy news on his Twitter.com page last Thursday

“It’s a boyeeeee!! (sic),” he tweeted, before following up that post with another on Friday morning: “Had a baby boyee (sic) yesterday!!! The NORE nigga happy!!!”

N.O.R.E. said so shocked to learn his unnamed partner had gone into labor, he almost fainted before he’d even reached the hospital.

“I heard of fainting in (the) emergency room; I was gonna faint in the crib (home) though, shit.”

Rapper N.O.R.E., 31, was arrested after fighting with a customer at a Fatburger in Miami Beach on Sunday.

N.O.R.E., whose real name is Victor Santiago, reportedly caused a disruption at the restaurant by yelling at another customer, ripping up a bouquet of flowers, and throwing a cup filled with a yellow liquid at the fellow patron.

Authorities said the rapper then punched the man in the face, and yelled “Do you know who I am?”

Apparently not.

N.O.R.E, who was charged with misdemeanour battery and disorderly conduct, was taken to the Miami-Dade County Jail and released.

Nore’s controversial “Cocaine Cowboys” music video was recently banned from the popular social networking site Myspace.

“I moved to Miami last year and one of the first movies I saw when I got here was Cocaine Cowboys,” Nore said when asked to explain the concept for the video. “I liked it and recorded a song in reference to the movie and I wanted to be true to it. I did the song and the people who did the movie approached us about doing a video. It wasn’t my life I was depicting but the life in the movie. The drugs were not my drugs. The money is not my money. It’s all from the film.”

Though Nore maintains that his video is no different from a Hollywood script or any other artistic expression, he does in fact understand why the wildly popular social networking site banned the video.

“I understand that certain people are going to have certain feelings about it. People are on [MySpace] pretending to be other individuals, portraying to be their big brothers or whatever and they’re only 12 or 13-years-old. If they’re that young, then I wouldn’t want them to see it, but if they’re 18-25, this is reality and they’re going to have to face it anyway and make their own decision. They can later say that I appreciate Nore for bringing that to us or I don’t. But I am a responsible adult and I do have kids so I understand. But I never heard of that before…being banned is dope.”

Myspace maintains the video was taken down for violation of the “Terms and Conditions.” Myspace said in a statement that the site reserves the right to take down footage that “may be offensive, illegal, or violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of any person.”

Reformed reggaeton rapper has been released from his contract with Def Jam after disputes over the label’s refusal to release a completed album as well as failing to support his reggaeton effort N.O.R.E Y La Familia.

“I love Def Jam and every bit of history that we have together, but it’s time to move on. I’m fully on my own and I want to be my own boss,” N.O.R.E says. He adds that “this is what I asked for.”
