The Queen of Talk has a bone to pick with The Queen of Soul after she was uncharacteristically snubbed in favor of Wendy Williams.

Oprah is allegedly fuming that a newly-slim Aretha Franklin chose Wendy Williams for her first sit-down interview since abandoning the stage to battle a secret medical condition.

Williams made headlines when she joined the “Respect” singer — now 80 pounds slimmer — at her home in Detroit — last week.

“Oprah’s about as angry as can be,” whispers a National Enquirer insider. “This is the final season of her show and she’s been pushing hard to land all the big ‘gets’ out there. Oprah is embarrassed that Aretha — a legend — chose Wendy, who is a relative newcomer in the talk show world.”

While Oprah gives Wendy, 46, credit for landing the scoop she’s incensed that the host of the “silly and gossipy” Wendy Williams Show got the jump on her for one of the interview gets of the year, tipsters squeal in March 14 issue of The National Enquirer. After all, Winfrey already had a tribute show all planned in Aretha’s honor.

“Oprah was not going to keep the whole interview on the illness, which she knows Aretha is reluctant to fully discuss. She was going to get Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, and Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown Records, for a touching tribute. But instead, Aretha chose Wendy — and Oprah is not happy.”

Billionairess Oprah is featured on the cover of the Nov. issue of Fortune Magazine’s 50 Most Powerful Women Issue, where the Queen of Talk chats at length about pulling the plug on her iconic daytime talk show after an unprecedented 25 seasons to launch The Oprah Winfrey Network in cooperation with Discovery.

The Queen of Talk Oprah Winfrey is courting Paula Cook — the jilted wife of Fantasia Barrino’s married beau — for a tell-all appearance on the final season of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

O is hoping to convince Cook to spill the beans about how Fantasia Barrino stole her man and then gloated about it. That is before she tried to off herself in a botched aspirin/sedative overdose earlier this month. But the proposed interview could strain Winfrey’s relationship with the American Idol Season 3, who appeared in the Broadway production

In early August, Paula named Fantasia in divorce papers and is reportedly planning to sue the “Truth Is” singer for swiping her husband. Mrs. Cook is expected to file a civil suit to demand damages from Fantasia for “alienation of affection.” She has taken a leave of absence from her teaching job to contemplate all of her options.

Now Oprah’s come calling.

“Paula has been approached by Oprah’s people to go on her chat show. She still hasn’t decided what she will do though, and she was also approached by Mo’Nique too,” a source told RadarOnline.com last Wednesday. “There was also the chance for her to appear on a new reality show about spurned women, and she’s considering another option to write a book about the whole Fantasia saga. At the moment she is weighing up all these offers and is just taking time out to look after her sons,” the tattle added.

“…Despite anything that Fantasia may say about Antwaun being separated from his wife when she started dating him, Paula firmly believes that she knowingly got involved with a married man.”

Snitches tell RadarOnline.com that Mo’Nique was livid after tuning into the interview, and is frustrated with her brother, Gerald, for his half-truths about the abuse she suffered The Queen of Talk — who the Precious star accuses of not being “sympathetic enough” to her ordeal.

A tipser claims: “Mo’Nique was particularly upset that Gerald lied to Oprah that he molested her while she was sleeping because she was wide awake and scared of him. Also, she is angry that he did not get any help or enter a rehab and she does not trust him around children.”

“Oprah asked her to appear on her show again for another interview but at this point she has declined the invitation. If anything it has made the situation worse between Mo’Nique and her family and she doesn’t know if she will ever speak to them again now.”

On The View Thursday, Barbara said that Gerald contacted her in February after Mo’Nique discussed the molestation on her Oscar Special. Walters said she declined the interview, sensing that Gerald’s desire to repair his relationship with Mo’Nique may be financially motivated.

In an interview featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show Monday, the brother of Oscar-winning actress/comedienne Mo’Nique admitted that he molested the star when they were children and he wants to apologize to her.

Gerald Imes told The Queen of Talk that he was 13 and Mo’Nique was 7 or 8 the first time he assaulted her sexually. The abuse lasted for three years, Gerald claimed he was abused as a child, which he says drove him to a life of drugs. Gerald said he became abusive towards her during a period in his life when he had “spiraled out of control.”

“I’m here today to acknowledge that I’ve been in denial for over 30 years. I just want to say I’m sorry. I started using cocaine, alcohol, heroin, at age 11. I did the drugs to hide my own pain, to hide my own fear … I abused and betrayed the trust of my sibling,” he cried.

Mo’Nique has discussed her brother’s molestation in previous interviews and even admitted to channeling the abuse she suffered for her role as monster mom Mary Jones in Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire.

He was later sentenced to prison for 12 years for molesting another child. Imes says he decided to appear on Winfrey’s show to apologize to Mo’Nique and “bring back some family unity.”

Gerald and Mo’Nique parents also appeared on today’s program, where they confessed that they haven’t spoken to their famous daughter in two years as a result of the molestation fallout.

Oprah says Mo’Nique didn’t want to be a part of today’s interview but gave Winfrey her blessing to chat with her family.

Oprah Winfrey has donated $1.5 million to a private middle school in Atlanta, The Associated Press said Thursday. The Ron Clark Academy, located in an impoverished section of the inner-city, has struggled to raise money this year amid the sagging economy.

Winfrey, who has had school founder Ron Clark on her show twice, donated $365,000 to the school last December. Clark wrote the best-selling teaching book The Essential 55.

The school is hoping to expand its campus by building a cafeteria, gymnasium, and theater.
