Hey ya, pay your taxes! Antwan Andre Patton, best known as Big Boi of OutKast fame, is in trouble with Uncle Sam after apparently skipping out on paying his taxes.
Word is Big Boi owes $55,727 and has been under an Internal Revenue Service-induced lien since June.
Andre Benjamin — aka Andre 3000 of the Grammy-winnning hip-hop duo Outkast– was arrested outside his hometown of Atlanta at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday after he was clocked doing 109 mph in a 65 mph zone in his Porsche.
According to TMZ.com, Andre, 33, was taken to the Henry County Jail where he was booked and had his mugshot taken. He posted $1,200 bail and was later released.
Mary J. Blige joins Big Boi in the new video for the rapper’s single “Sumthin’ Gotta Give.”
Big Boi and Mary J. Blige have teamed up for the track “Something’s Gotta Give,” to be featured on Big Boi’s upcoming solo album.
