Remy Ma has been found guilty on four charges, including assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon stemming from the July 2007 shooting of her former friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph outside the Pizza Bar in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. Remy was cuffed and escorted out of the court screaming “Oh my God!”
Remy Ma assault trial will begin on Thursday, March 6th, 2008. Remy is accused of assault, criminal possession of a weapon, gang assault and witness intimidation in the shooting of twenty-three year-old Makeda Barnes-Joseph outside a New York nightclub last July. Remy faces up to twenty-five years in prison if she’s convicted when she stands trial at a March 8th New York Supreme Court hearing in that case.

Alleged shooting victim Makeda Barnes-Josephy has upped her pending $10 million lawsuit against BX-bred rapper Remy Ma to $80 million. The suit is in connection with a shooting outside NYC’s Pizza Bar last July, Makeda was shot twice in the abdomen and has had to undergo three surgeries. Remy is currently awaiting trial.
