Rihanna is hoping to recapture the Grammy-winning magic of her hit 2007 single “Umbrella” with the release of a “legendary” new album. The hitmaking islander is teaming up with five of today’s hottest music stars for her next effort.

Jay-Z, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, and Soulja Boy are some of the industry heavyweights being courted to provide cameoss and production on the still-untitled effort.

“Rihanna has been working with the biggest names in the business. The word the record company is using about this album is legendary,”an informant dished in a clandestine chat with The Mirror this week. “She is going to blow everyone away. This album will come from the heart – Chris may not want to listen.”

Is Rihanna looking to change careers? The ink-lovin’ R&B pop star was snapped taking tattoo lessons at East Side Ink in New York City’s East Village on Wednesday.

Although a Los Angeles judge has ordered that Chris Brown not to go within 50 yards of his former girlfriend Rihanna after he recently pleaded guilty to beating her in a fight last winter, the exes want to do away with the stay away order so that they can “work on their friendship.”

“They think it’s unnecessary and ridiculous,” a mutual friend blabbed to The NY Daily News last week. “After [the proceeding], Ri and Chris talked on the phone for almost an hour and really worked at becoming friends. They’re solid now.”

Chris Brown has reached a plea bargain in his felony assault case.

Chris pleaded guilty to committing felony assault against his pop star ex Rihanna in a brawl last February during a hearing in a Los Angeles courtroom on Monday. According to the crooner’s attorney Mark Geragos, was sentenced to five years of supervised probation, two weeks of domestic violence counseling, and six months (180 days) of community service.

Rihanna entered the Los Angeles courtroom after Chris had left and accepted a stay-away order, which prevents her from having any contact Chris until Aug. 5. Chris Brown must also stay at least 50 feet away from the singer.

Rihanna did not have to testify.

Rihanna will break four months of silence in a Los Angeles courtroom today when she takes the witness stand and testifies about “Romance Gone Wrong” and the “alleged” beating she received at the hands of former boyfriend Chris Brown following a dispute last February.

Brown has entered a plea of not guilty on felony assault charges in connection with the case.

Rihanna is being sued by her next door neighbor.

On Tuesday, Christian Moeller sued the 21-year-old pop singer and Stephen Yacobian, who owns the house Rihanna is renting in Los Angeles. According to the suit, Moeller, a college professor, claims the “Umbrella” singer allows cars of visitors to routinely park or wait on his property.

He is seeking unspecified damages for trespass, invasion of privacy and other claims.

An X-rated video allegedly starring Rihanna has been released on the internet.

Five-Head’s been smoking the Chronic again…Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Rihanna and the star’s allegedly abusive ex, R&B crooner Chris Brown, have requested seats together at tonight’s NBA Finals game in Orlando, Florida.

On Thursday, Rihanna was subpoenaed by the by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office to testify in Chris’ domestic assault trial later this month.
