Rihanna’s “Last Girl On Earth” Summer Tour doesn’t kick off until July 2, but the event has already hit a snag. Femcee Nicki Minaj — who had been tapped to join pop star Ke$ha as an opening act– has announced that she’s dropping out of the tour.
“Barbz I’m sorry 2 say I will not be going out on RiRi’s tour. I’ve decided 2 use that time 4 the completion of my album. Hope u understand,” Minaj Tweeted on Wednesday.
Nicki’s decision to focus on her debut album may come as a bit of a surprise: In February, the Young Money star told MTV News that she taking her time with the LP “because she felt people need to get used to seeing a female rapper again.”

Pop star Rihanna is stepping up security after receiving X-rated letters from a male fan, according to reports. The “Russian Roulette” star, 22, has been bombarded with filthy letters in the mail.
Rihanna has been sued by her former personal trainer. The “Russian Roulette” singer, 22, allegedly owes Cindy Percival $26,144.14 in unpaid wages for rigorous training sessions between September and October of 2009, according to a claim filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court last week. Percival claims she was hired by the singer to perform “exclusive personal training services” at a rate of $1,500-a-day before she was abruptly let go — without payment — last fall. Rihanna has previously spoken about her exercise regime, admitting she always needs a trainer to motivate her in her workout sessions.
