Pop superstar Rihanna took to the Saturday Night Live stage for the first time this weekend, electrifying the classic sketch comedy show with her new, cropped blonde hair and performances from her recently-released fourth studio album, Rated R.
Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z says he regrets not releasing a range of umbrellas when Rihanna’s song was a worldwide hit in the Summer of 2007.
“We really should have had some Rihanna Rocawear umbrellas when the song became a hit,” Hov says. “We could have made a load of money on those. I’m still kicking myself.”
He added: “The goal is to make Rocawear a $1 billion company. People want a quality product, which is what I want Rocawear to be known for – we make a damn good pair of jeans, that’s why people buy them.”
“‘Umbrella” was such a mega hit that fans started bringing umbrellas to Rihanna concerts to imitate the island beauty’s now-famous dance routine. However, umbrellas were eventually banned from her shows after audience members continually injured themselves.

Rihanna was so embarrassed by rumours she landed her record deal by embarking on a sexual relationship with Jay-Z, she couldn’t look him in the face. Rumors surfaced alleging the Rated R star was more than just friends with her mentor when she was discovered in her native Barbados by the rap mogul in 2006. Even her closest friend believed she’d bedded Hov to get signed — but Rihanna insists she has never been intimate with the hip-hop star.
“It was like: ‘Of course she had to give Jay-Z oral sex to get that deal.’ That rumour was everywhere in Barbados and it was so disgusting. It made me feel really weird. I would even be weird around Jay-Z. I wouldn’t be able to look him in the eye,” Rihanna recently confessed. “One day, he called and he was like, ‘Yo, you can’t buy into these rumours. You can’t let people move you with anything they say.’ The rumours got very funny to me after that.”
The “Umbrella” hitmaker – who has been single since former boyfriend Chris Brown assaulted her in February – is ready to date again, but the singer says she isn’t interested in suitors who aren’t working with a big stick between the sheets.
“He has to be good in bed and the size matters. You know what I mean? The inner beauty counts as well, but without a toy it doesn’t make it fun. Right now I don’t want to have a serious relationship, I want to have fun,” Rihanna allegedly quipped to German magazine Bravo when asked what it takes for a guy to impress her.

Chris insists he feels sorry for he what he did and fears his actions have been wrongly perceived. Chris told Wendy in a clip released Thursday afternoon.
“At the end of the day, I’m definitely remorseful and it’s not something that I take lightly or think that it’s like under the rug,” Chris told Wendy. “I really think it’s something that is a serious matter and I’m learning from it.”
