Nearly a month after crashing his jet ski into a Miami Beach bridge over the Memorial Day Weekend, it looks like R&B’s Sean Kingston is on the mend.

“Feeling alot better! GOD IS GREAT! Thanks for all the prayers and support! Love you ALL!” Kingston wrote on his Twitter page this week. Still in a local hospital recovering from his injuries, a smiling Kingston also posted a picture of himself flashing a peace sign. The “Me Love” singer has been hospitalized in The Sunshine State since the horrific May 29 crash, after which he and a female companion were rescued by friends and an off-duty member of the Coast Guard.

On June 6, Kingston walked on his own for the first time since the accident.

R&B star Sean Kingston came close to drowning after a serious jet ski accident left him convulsing in the middle of Miami’s Biscayne Bay, according to new reports.

Kingston’s longtime friend Cassandra Sanchez was a passenger on the watercraft that slammed into Palm Island Bridge on Sunday, but walked away with only minor injuries. Now she’s talking about the moments leading up to wreck. Cassandra says she yelled at the singer to slow down moments before he crashed the jet ski. They were with another group of friends, who were also on a jet ski, but lost them soon as they pulled out of the dock because they were speeding so fast. Sanchez, 23, believes Kingston lost control as he tried to steer the jet ski away from the lower end of the bridge.

“We can’t fit under there! Are we going to try and go under there? Sean stop!” Sanchez recalls screaming as they approached the bridge.

Cassandra escaped with just a sore jaw and ribs, while the 21-year-old “Me Love” star continues his recovery at Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital.

“They have a tube done his throat so he can’t talk, but he is lucid and understands what’s going on,” she said.

TMZ spoke to the off-duty Coast Guard serviceman who came to the aid of the singer immediately following the accident and said he was “throwing up blood.” Another witness said they noticed a gash on his chin.

There are no official details as to what caused the crash, but Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission spokesman Jorge Pino says alcohol has been ruled out as a factor. Speed, on the other hand, has not been excluded as a culprit. Sanchez, nonetheless, says she won’t be suing her friend.

“I know he didn’t mean to get either of us hurt. I know this whole thing was just an accident. I won’t be pressing any type of charges or hiring a lawyer. Sean is a good guy. I am going to be visiting him in the hospital at some point soon and hope he has a speedy recovery.”

Sean is expected to make a full recovery within six weeks. In the meantime, he remains in critical but stable condition.

Kingston’s publicist told MTV.com the singer is “sedated but fully conscious” and has asked for privacy.

Representatives with Epic Records say Sean Kingston’s condition “is now stabilized” after the island-born crooner suffered extensive injuries in a watercraft accident off the coast of Miami on Sunday.

Kingston, 21, is in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida after he crashed into a bridge that connects Miami Beach’s exclusive Palm Island to the MacArthur Causeway while on a jetski, WPLG-TV has learned. Miami Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene of the crash at approximately 6PM EST.

Joseph Carozza, a rep for Sean, says: “[Sean] was in an accident today. No further details are available at the moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well-wishes.”

Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash, but do not believe alcohol played a role. An unidentified woman who was with Sean at the time of the accident was also taken to the hospital. Her condition remains unknown.

After reportedly being discovered on MySpace, Kingston, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, found global success with the 2007 breakout hit “Beautiful Girl” — which sampled Ben. E King’s classic ballad “Stand By Me.” He went on to strike gold again with the follow-up singles “Me Love” and “Eenie Meenie,” featuring Justin Bieber.

Police in Seattle listed the 20-year-old portly pop singer a person of interest in a sexual assault investigation this week, after an intoxicated young woman accused the walrus doppleganger of raping her in a local hotel room on Sunday evening. However, investigators have declined to file charges after discovering holes in the woman’s story.

“The alleged incident occurred Sunday night, at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Seattle. Sources tell us two women showed up for a party in one of the hotel rooms. Kingston was present. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the women were both intoxicated when they arrived, with bottles of vodka and beer in hand. We’re told one of the women claims Kingston had sex with her, and, as one source says, ‘She was very aggressive.’ Kingston then left the party and went to another room on the same floor. Sources say the woman then proceeded to have sex with two other men in the room. The second woman, we’re told, also had sex with someone in the room.…Police have determined the case is not credible and they now say an interview is unnecessary….”

While Sean appears to be in the clear on the rape charges, his legal talespin with the alleged victims may be just beginning. TMZ tattles claim both women who partied with Kingston last weekend are considerng lodging civil suits against the crooning islander and his entourage.
