A&E still considering whether to purchase Love Shaq, a show filmed before last week’s turn of events.

Shaunie, born Va’shaundya, filed for legal separation from the Cleveland Cavaliers player in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Nov. 9, citing irreconcilable differences. In addition to asking for an unspecified amount in spousal and child support, Shaunie is seeking sole custody of the couple’s four children, ranging in age from 3 to 9.

Shaq and Shaunie split in September 2007 amid allegations that Shaunie was sleeping with her personal trainer and being secretive about her monetary assets. The couple reunited in August 2008 and vowed to work through their problems. But their efforts have not been successful, according to papers filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday.

Shaunie and the couple’s four children have abandoned the family’s Florida home and relocated to California, where she will likely have an easier time securing spousal support, PEOPLE reports. She is also seeking child support as well as legal and physical custody of their children. Shaq and Shaunie would have celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary next month.

According to USA TODAY, future episodes will see Shaq take on Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in football. Future hour-long episodes will pit him against Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, retired boxer Oscar De La Hoya, St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols, tennis pro Serena Williams, and beach volleyball Olympians Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh.

Filming begins this Wednesday. Shaq is set to premiere Aug. 18 and will air Tuesdays @ 9PM ET/PT on ABC

Shaq is already in training for his next career.

On Sunday, the 7-foot-1 Phoenix Suns center is taking a broadcasting course at Syracuse University.

Sportscaster U, a crash course designed to teach athletes about the broadcasting industry, started last year and the NBA star is the academy’s latest pupil. Shaq arrived on Sunday and started school Monday at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

“I’ve been an athlete that’s sort of in advance; always thinking. After basketball I’d love to have my own radio show, my own TV show.”

Shaquille O’Neal popped and locked alongside America’s Best Dance Crew Season One champs, Jabbawockeez, at the 2009 NBA All-Star Game Sunday night.

Making his 15th All-Star Game appearance, Shaq helped The West take Top Honors at this year’s showing of the NBA’s best.

Shaquille O’Neal is offering to buy mortgages of Orlando borrowers facing foreclosure.

“I want to come in not to kick them out, but to work with them and save them so they can stay in their homes,” Shaquille told The Orlando Sentinel on Tuesday.

The NBA star would sell the homes back to the buyers with more affordable terms.

“He’s become a businessman with a conscience,” says Shaq’s attorney Mark NeJame.

Shaquille O’Neal’s wife Shaunie Nelson has filed papers to the court denying that her marriage is irretrievably broken down. She is asking the court to grant her a three-month continuance so that she can attempt to save her marriage and ignore her husband’s divorce application.
The Miami Heat star filed for divorce last month claiming that his wife had been “secretive about her assets… particularly with respect to certain properties owned or titled in either (her) name alone or in other entities”.

Celebrity informants claim Shaquille & Shaunie O’Neal are divorcing following the Mrs.’ affair with her personal trainer. “She’s fucking the personal trainer. They’re claiming ‘marital differences.’”

The NBA star is also accusing his soon-to-be former wife of selling the family’s personal items on eBay!
