Snoop Dogg and Amy Winehouse smoke too much weed to work together

The British singing sensation teamed up with Snoop to work on two tracks in Los Angeles last year, but the musicians reportedly got so high they couldn’t stop laughing long enough to record anything.

“Amy came to the studio buzzing with ideas and the pair got on really well, even though Snoop turned up in his dressing gown with slippers on, which had Amy giggling,” according to an insider. “They were working at a frenetic pace at first but as the day wore on and more smoke breaks took place, the work rate slackened.”

“By the time their studio time ended they had a pair of tracks sketched out but no finished product.”

West Coast hip-hop boss Snoop is the next celeb in line to be immortalized in wax at the World Famous Madame Tussauds Museum.

Snoop In Wax will debut later this year.

Despite an earlier Friday morning report from TMZ.com claiming that Snoop Dogg’s wife, Shante Broadus, might be dead, the rapper’s manager has dismissed the rumor as “ridiculous,” MTV News has learned.

TMZ reported that an anonymous tipster called into the California Highway Patrol on Thursday saying that Snoop had “the dead body of his wife in his basement” after the woman was killed in car accident.

Snoop, Shante, and their three children are the subject of the E! reality series, Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood.

“When you get a speech from Minister Farrakhan it’s about a mirror, it’s about looking at yourself,” the rapper later told The Associated Press. “It’s about seeing yourself and what you can do to better the situation … We’re doing a lot of wrongs among ourselves that need correcting.”

When asked by the AP if he planned to convert to Islam and become a member of the Nation, Snoop replied that he has already joined in the movement.

“I’m already in the Nation, that’s why I’m here,” he explained. “I’m an advocate for peace. I’ve been in the peace movement ever since I’ve been making music. My whole thing is not about really trying to push my thing on you. It’s just about the way I live, and I live how I’m supposed to live as far as doing what’s right and representing what’s right. That’s why I was here today.”

Snoop Dogg and socialite Paris Hilton freestyled together on the debut episode of West Coast rap legend’s new late night series, Dogg After Dark, which premiered Tuesday night on MTV.

The second season of the hit E! reality series Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood on Sunday, November 30 at 10:30 p.m., ET/PT.
