Editors for gay-favorite Playgirl Magazine have come up with a new way for disgraced NFL quarterback Michael Vick to redeem himself for the dog killing spree that sent him to federal prison for 19 months: posing nude.

The NFL star, who was arrested for animal abuse and promoting dogfighting in 2007, has been invited to strip down for the X-rated mag in exchange for a $1 million donation to overzealous animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

“I sent the request to Michael Vick on Wednesday, but we haven’t heard back yet. I figured he paid back society for dog fighting, but what about the animals? This way he could donate a large sum to PETA and all he’d have to do is pose for the magazine! It’s kind of a win-win situation!” a Playgirl spokesperson revealed in the February 28 issue of Life & Style.

“The biggest mistake I made was responding to what he was saying about me. Once I responded, now that made it seem like I was part of that whole thing. It’s like, Okay, these two are against each other. As opposed to just staying quiet, which is what I’ve been doing the last few years. Let him say what he needs to say,” Kobe Bryant on Shaq, GQ Magazine, March 2010….

Serena Williams has already mastered the tennis court, now the most decorated woman in sports today is hoping to taste success in another career field — cosmetology! The tennis champ has enrolled in the Palm Beach Nail School, where she hopes to complete course work to become a certified nail technician.

That’s right, the Wimbledon champ wants to hook you up with the best mani/pedi you’ve ever had! Serena even blogged about her first day of class at GlobalGrind.com over the weekend: “Immediately after I came home from the Australian Open I researched some schools and enrolled in a course that allowed me to complete 240 hours (that’s what u have to do to get certified at least in fla) at my own pace. Two hundred and forty hours may seem like a lot, but I intend on completing it within the year. It normally takes 6 weeks!!!”

Serena, who also took classes to become a clothing designer, is hoping to jazz up her mandatory scrubs while she studies. After all, whoever said education can’t be fashionable?

“Not only do I plan on being the top student to graduate from my nail school, but I also intend on being the most fashionable!” she blogged. “We have to wear blue scrubs. So I asked the administrator can I wear pink but she insisted on blue. I found the cutest blue scrub top (Grey’s Anatomy should take note) and super cute cargo pants!”
