Alicia Keys and still-married record producer Swizz Beatz are stepping out together after months of fighting rumors of infidelity. The twosome made their first red carpet appearance as a couple at Gotham Magazine’s annual gala at Capitale in New York City Tuesday night.
The bold move comes just a week after Swizz opened up about his pending divorce from R&B songbird Mashonda in an interview with DJ Enuff: “It was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through,” he said before accusing Mashonda of sabotaging their marriage by creating a rift in his relationship with his oldest son.
He may not be divorced just yet by hip-hop producer Swizz Beatz is already eyeing a future with A. Keys, a new tabloid scoop claims.
Swizz, 31 –who is currently divorcing wife Mashonda — presented Alicia with a 7-carat diamond ring as he proposed marriage to the Harlem-bred songbird in Hawaii on Jan. 24, according to the Feb. 7 issue of Us Magazine.
“They are currently in Hawaii celebrating the engagement and her birthday. She feels blessed,” a friend of the previously-clandestine couple blabbed to the tab.
Singer filed for divorce from Mashonda, his wife of 4 years, in April 2009. His relationship with Keys is rumored to be behind the couple’s split.

Now Alicia, 28, and Swizz, 31, are reportedly taking their controversial relationship to the next level by purchasing a duplex penthouse.
“The place is amazing. It even has a 2,000-square-foot terrace… Alicia and Swizz were holding hands as they looked around for about 20 minutes,” says a spy.

Swizz calls the piece “Remember The Time.”
“R.I.P. MJ the great. I took some time out to do a dedication piece tonight instead of rocking in the studio,” said in a Tweet Tuesday.
