T.I. says his dependency on prescription substances began when he started taking Oxycontin and hydrocodone for pain management following a series of dental surgeries earlier his year.
“After the pain went away, I kept taking it. I had like five, six prescriptions. So, I had, like 80 pills. Everybody else might drink or smoke a blunt; I took a pain pill,” the 30-year-old hip-hopster confides in an interview win the December issue of VIBE Magazine.

The King of the South has been sued by a sound technician who claims one of the entertainer’s employees held him hostage at an Atlanta recording studio for 12 hours earlier this year, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on Wednesday.
