Despite reports that superproducer/rapper Timbaland (real name Timothy Mobley) attempted suicide on Tuesday, officials with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department say the were commissioned only to help locate the missing husband and father, who disappered in a funk on Tuesday after learning that a Jacob & Co. timepiece with an estimated value of $2 million had been stolen from his Los Angeles home….possibly by a trusted pal.

Reports of the alleged suicide attempt were further exacerbated early Wednesday morning, when radio/TV personality Ryan Seacrest told listeners of his LA radio morning show — “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” — that he heard Timbaland had tried to take his own life.

Ryan later Tweeted: “Got word my friend timbaland attempted suicide. I am hearing now that is not true that [he] is ok!!”

It’s true — Tim’s concerned family did call the police, but cops tell The Insider that reports of a manhunt for Timbaland are “significantly overblown” and a helicopter was used to locate the music star because it was already in the Malibu area, where Timbaland was eventually found — safe — in his Cadillac Escalade.

Los Angeles PD officials are currently investigating the theft of Tim’s watch.

“I was done with hip-hop a long time ago. Once my generation left, I left. I do it, but there’s nobody from my generation besides Jay-Z who’s doing it. I look at Lil Wayne as being from my generation. Some people are still acceptable,” he tells MTV.com. “Kanye (West) is acceptable from my generation. It’s just not the same. By it not being the same, I kind of fade to black. I did music that fits where I was going to in my age bracket.”

“I figured it out a couple of years ago with Nelly (Furtado) and Justin (Timberlake) and myself. We had a tremendous run. I think it was good for me to do that. But I got this run, I’m not gonna stop until I wanna stop.”

Timbaland insists he’s not one of those artists – but he has cut Brown’s vocals from new tune “The One I Love.” Timbaland’s manager, Marcus Spence, tells the website the decision to cut Brown from the track “was a creative decision for both parties.”

Timbaland’s Shock Value II debuts Dec. 8.

Timbaland married publicist Monique Idlett in a small ceremony in his homestate of Virginia on Tuesday.

The two wed — in their sweats! — in Virginia on Tuesday by a family pastor, Usmagazine.com reports

The newlyweds will marry again in a formal ceremony in Aruba on June 22nd.

We hear hip-hip superproducer Timbaland will wed his publicist girlfriend, Monique Idlett, in Aruba on June 19th.

“Guests are being told to be prepared to fly to Aruba on that date,” a Life & Style Magazine spy reports.

Timbaland is creating a new mobile album available to Verizon wireless V Cast subscribers.

Tim will produce one song per month for the cell phone provider, creating magic in the studio with a different artist each month.

Tim’s studio experience will be captured on film, creating making-of footage that will be available on Timbaland’s channel for V Cast subscribers.

“Every place don’t get a CD [but] everybody has a mobile phone,” Timbaland said in an interview with Billboard.com. “Just producing a mobile album has never been done. I’m the first to ever do it.”
All Timbaland mobile tracks will be accessible only via V Cast and Verizon, and fans can look forward to a mobile compilation album at the end of the year.
