Tyra Banks — America’s Next Best-Selling Author?

The talk show host and former model has inked a three-book deal with Delacorte Press — a division of Random House Children’s Books — to pen a fantasy series for young people.

Modelland will arrive on shelves in the summer of 2011. The series follows a girl trying to keep up with the beauty game at an elite school for supermodels, or Intoxibellas.

In a fan note posted on Tyra.com Tuesday, TyTy wrote: “I said I was going to do it, and here it is! It’s for all the girls and guys who want a lot more FANTASY in their lives … and some fierceness and magic, romance and mystery, crazy and wild adventures, and yeah, some danger too. Modelland” has always been a part of my mind and my heart,” she wrote on her site. “I’m excited that you’ll be able to read about this magical world that’s been living in my dreams for so many years.”

Although this is Banks’ first novel, she published a style guide — titled Tyra’s Beauty, Inside and Out — in 1998.

Tyra Banks is ending her Emmy-winning daytime talk show after five seasons.

Tyra will close the curtains on the show that chronicled weave-exposing and cellulite-slamming next Spring. She says she’ll focus on the launch of Bankable Studios, a N.Y.-based film production company with the mission of bringing “positive images of women to the big screen.”

Daytime diva Tyra Banks grabs a handful of millionaire booty on an episode of her Emmy-winning talk show airing Tuesday. The ex-model latches on to the backside of 50 Cent as the rapper/actor talks about filming a nude scene in his new movie Before I Self-Destruct during tomorrow’s show.

The rap star’s back pockets are likely a bit fuller than the average guy’s since he always carries $25K in cash, “just in case something happens… I don’t know whether I’ll have to buy something or not.”

“I’ve never in my life seen anybody with that much money in their back pocket,” Tyra tells him.

“I like to have cash on me because it feels like I have money,” 50 replies.

Eddie Murphy will make an appearance on the finale of The CW’s America’s Next Top Model Nov. 18.

Why? According to E!’s Kristin Dos Santos, Eddie will be in the house to cheer on his daughter, Bria Murphy, who will appear with the Top Model finalists in the show. Bria can also been seen in rapper Gucci Mane’s new video for “Spotlight,” featuring Usher. Here’s a picture of the leggy 19-year-old at a recent event in Los Angeles with her mom Nicole.

“I always feel great when I don’t have clothes on. When I told the world to kiss my fat ass, I remained that size for two years. I maintained it with my ice cream and my salad with ranch and dressing and croutons and bacon bits.”

Well she’s not “maintaining” anymore.

Tyra, host of America’s Next Top Model, has dropped down from size 14-16 to size 8 thanks to a regime of diet and exercise.
