Usher has finally gotten his “papers.” The R&B star and wife Tameka Foster-Raymond have divorced.
Fulton County Superior Court spokeswoman Jada Hudspeth says a final decree in the divorce case was issued Wednesday.
Usher, whose real name is Usher Raymond IV, filed for divorce from Tameka Raymond on June 12, claiming there was “no reasonable hope of reconciliation” and the marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
The couple married in August 2007 and have two young sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond.
In case you need a further confirmation that Tameka Foster-Raymond is a few sandwiches short of a picnic, feast your eyes on Exhibit A. Word is Usher’s soon-to-be former Buss It Baby left a harassing and foul-mouthed message on the home voicemail of Canadian blogger Kemi, best known as editor of HipHossip.com.
The report comes on the heels of whispers that Tameka scratched up Usher’s SUV after a heated argument outside the star’s Atlanta home in August.

In case you haven’t heard, Usher claims Tameka was turned into a Melrose Place superbitch one night last August and showed up at his mama’s house, and banging on the door late night demanding her children. The next day, Usher woke to find his SUV “allegedly” (Wink, Wink) keyed by the ex, Tamkea Raymond. Police found no evidence to support Usher’s claim.
When Usher’s “Papers” dropped earlier this week, we knew it was only a matter of time before the soon-to-be former Mrs. Raymond said her peace — and we were right. On Thursday, Tameka Foster hit Global Grind to share her views on Usher’s very public diss.

The mirrors have definitely become smoky. So much in fact that it makes it hard for one to decipher reality from the facade. Is it Live or Memorex? Even the public should recognize the #FF (fame fanatics) who go to such great lengths to garner attention ranging from publicity ploys, outlandish stage outfits, sex tapes, head shaving, public grand standing, picture leaks and throwing tantrums. From vintage concepts of dating shows in hopes of finding a soul mate (huh? #wheredotheydothatat) to trying to hit Billboard Charts by any means necessary. Surely, the fans know better than to think what flows from “the pen” of any writer embodies the details of another human’s deepest and true desires. Sadly, men singing about love, politics, marriage, children or anything genuine and benevolent equates to album sales flop, mundane chatter and waning popularity. It takes a song about disparaging all the aforementioned just to get accolades and spins on the radio. Unlike a mathematical equation the negative induces the positive. The need to placate fans puts artists at their mercy, leading to maniacal decisions. But I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. I digress….
Usher would rather sing about his divorce papers than actually sign them.
The R&B crooner — who on Tuesday released a new single, “Papers,” that details his split from wife Tameka Foster Raymond — is holding up his split by refusing to sign the divorce papers that would make his separation from Tameka official, RadarOnline.com reports.
“Tameka thinks that it’s ironic that ‘Papers’ is his comeback single when she just wants him to sign the paperwork and finalize the divorce,” a source spilled. “The terms and conditions have been agreed on for around a month but he keeps stalling on them, and she’s the one that wants to move on with her life.”
The estranged couple were married in August 2007 and have two sons together; 1-year-old Usher Raymond V, and Naviyd, 10 months.
Usher is gearing up to release sixth studio album Raymond Vs. Raymond — the follow-up to 2008’s Here I Stand — on December 8. Here’s the first single “Papers,” penned by Sean Garrett and produced by Zaytoven. The song is obviously a personal subject to him — and it shouldn’t be too hard to figure out what — or should we say who! — he’s talking about.
Usher is being sued by plumbers, who allege the five-time Grammy winner failed to pay up for work done in his Atlanta, Georgia mansion two years ago.
Bobo’s Plumbing Company claims that the 30-year-old R&B star owes $2,335 dollars for a shampoo bowl he had installed in his private home salon and for setting waterworks in one of the property’s bathrooms in 2007.
R&B star Usher put his marital problems aside to pay homage to his mentor, the late Michael Jackson, during Tuesday’s public memorial at L.A.’s Staples Center. The Grammy Award winner broke down in tears as he belted out MJ’s “Gone Too Soon.”
