It’s no secret — lost of folks “just ain’t that into” the new cropped snatchback being sported by video model and men’s mag favorite Rosa Acosta. Growing tired of the criticism over her alleged “boyish, Amber Rose-inspired” new look, the Dominican-born bombshell has stepped forward with a heartfelt explanation for why she’s no longer sporting the luxurious brunette locks that are as much a part of her trademark as her bodacious bottom and ample bustline.

Rosa — a former ballerina — says she’s losing her hair due to an undisclosed medical condition (likely brought on by her decade-long battle against anorexia/bulimia) and need to shave her locks in order to begin some much needed scalp treatments.

Acosta writes: “I didn’t have to ask permission from anyone to cut my hair. However, due the overwhelming response I felt it was only right to address my condition,” she wrote. “People have demanded an answer about why I cut my hair while insinuating that as if it was going to destroy me in some way. The truth is I cut my hair because my hair is falling out and has been for over a decade and I needed to began my treatments again. I encourage other people out there with a hair loss problem to accept your reality and make the most of it. For what I do, I feel like I’m a bad b*tch and I don’t need hair to make me. When I want to wear the hair I will. But for now, the most important thing for me to do is go through my treatments to make my scalp healthy which will intern [sic] give me a healthy head of hair.”

So there you go. Rosa is preparing for the release of her daily web series, Workout With Rosa Acosta, launching May 11.

Candy Girls will focus on a popular agency which specializes in placing female clients in events like award shows, the Super Bowl, album release parties, and hip-hop music video shoots.

“This series introduces E!’s entertainment-obsessed viewers to an aspect of the industry that has not previously been revealed,” Lisa Berger, E! Executive VP of Programming, said Wednesday.

“While these women may be recognized for their sexy personas, viewers will find there is much more to them than meets the eye.”

The Drama King Kay Slay and video vixen Buffie The Body are reportedly filming a reality show, or possibly a “reality based movie,” dubbed “Who Want Drama?”
