Chris Brown Stepfather: “He Needs To Take Responsibility For Assault”

In an exclusive interview with Access Hollywood, Chris Brown’s allegedly abusive former stepfather, Donnelle Hawkins, spoke out about the teen’s recent arrest for allegedly making criminal threats against his girlfriend Rihanna on Sunday morning.
“[Chris] has to take responsibility for his own actions,” Hawkins told the television newsmagazine.
When asked if he believed reports of Chris’ actions were true, he answered, “I wouldn’t be surprised.”
After Chris’ parents divorced, his mother married Donnelle.
In a 2007 interview with GIANT magazine, Chris spoke about a time when he was 11 and he told his mother that he would go to jail for killing his the allegedly abusive Donnelle.
“He used to hit my mom… He made me terrified all the time. I remember one night he made her nose bleed. I was crying and thinking, ‘I’m just gonna go crazy on him one day…’ I hate him to this day.”
But Donnelle Hawkins tells a very different story–although ge does admit to spanking Chris “one time.”
“I became the bad guy. Chris was really mad at his mom for leaving his dad, so I became the scapegoat. No matter how much I tried to be a father figure nothing worked,” Donnelle explains.
“There was a lot of arguing between his mom and I. I never raised a hand at his mom. We (Brown’s mother and I) argued frequently… As far as physical abuse there was no physical abuse.”

Donnelle Hawkins is the biggest joke of a man I’ve ever seen. He is such a joke that he is using this time to get his 10 seconds of fame at his former step-son’s expense. I like that everyone is asking his stupid butt “why now?”. Chris will be ok. This too shall pass. I think people need to keep their opinions to themselves. He isn’t guilty until proven guilty. As for the radio stations not playing his music….GROW UP! Stop faking like yo all have it all together. You didn’t stop playing R Kelly’s music & he was having sex with kids. Let get a grip people. Let God handle this and pay attention to our own lives.

To me y is he saying something now? Chris stated that he beat his mom long before all this. So y speak on it now. As for no charges there are still women that do not file charges on the men that beat them. He is a joke and that is all I can say.
