Common Lincoln Navigator Ad Campaign

Common has been selected as the spokesman for a chain of ads promoting the Lincoln Navigator. According to Advertising Age, General Motors is hoping Common’s one year deal as the face of the Navi will help the Lincoln-designed SUV Cadillac Escalade as the most popular luxury sports utility vehicle among African-Americans.
Common will make his Lincoln Navigator debut on November 25 during Sunday Night Football on NBC. Common’s Lincoln print ads will begin running in February and other TV commercials will begin airing in early 2008. The conscious rapper will also appear at “Lincoln Lounge” test-drive events and online at LincolnLounge.com.
This is another example of how celebrity commercial ads are becoming more and more common.
