Transformers star Shia LaBeouf has finally owned up to briefly dating Rihanna — more than two years after rumors of a romantic relationship between the two first hit the press.

Shia admits he had one date with the “Umbrella” hitmaker back in 2007, but claims the young would-be lovers failed to hit it off as a couple.

“It never got beyond one date. The spark wasn’t there. We weren’t passionate about each other in that way, so we remain friends.”
