Courthouse Fire Delays Lil Wayne Sentencing — Again
The universe really doesn’t want Lil Wayne to go to jail: Lil Wayne’s already delayed trip to the Big House on gun charges in a gun case abruptly got put off again Tuesday because of a fire in the Manhattan courthouse where he was due to be sentenced. Weezy will return to court for sentencing on Wednesday afternoon. Wayne flew to New York from his home in Miami Tuesday morning, ready to turn himself in for the .40-cal Springfield Armory semiautomatic confiscated from his tour bus outside the Beacon Theater two years ago. The platinum-selling Grammy winner is expected to spend between 8 months and 12 months on NYC’s notorious Rikers Island.
