Darius McCrary Replaces Shemar Moore As “Malcolm Winters” On “The Young & The Restless”
Karrine Steffans’ alleged Buss It Baby has been tapped as the next Malcolm Winters: Entertainment Weekly has learned that former child actor Darius McCrary – best known for playing Eddie Winslow on the long-running ABC sitcom Family Matters – has inked an multi-year deal to assume the role of Malcolm Winters on The Young & The Restless beginning Nov. 18.

The actor steps into the role originated by Emmy-winning Criminal Minds star Shemar Moore in 1994.
“We are thrilled to have the character of Malcolm back on Y&R,” according to a statement from Maria Bell, Y&R’s co-executive producer/head writer. “Malcolm, Neil Winters’ brother, has always been a catalyst to exciting stories. He’s coming back to town to see his brother and to reunite with his biological daughter, Lily Winters, as she fights for her life. Malcolm is a photographer … someone who lives on the edge and who always pushes the envelope.”
Darius makes his daytime debut on Dec. 29.

He is as ugly as a truck tire. Has a slow style that makes me think he is not bright. Really bad choice by the studio. I want to change the station when he is on and many times I do.

i don’t think he fits the role of malcom winters at all! i believe they would have done a bit better using someone else. someone more fitting to shemar moore. someone perhaps that looks a little closer to neal winters. he doesn’t even act that well on young and the restless. he should stick to the”family matters” type shows.
