So much for turning the other cheek. Def Jam president and 40/40 Club owner Jay-Z has reportedly slapped a ban preventing house DJs from cranking Dipset tracks at the swank NYC hotspot.
DJ Kid Capri was working the turntables during 40/40’s the Real Hip Hop TV Network Launch Party last Monday night when a Dipset track hit the air. Power to the music was cut abruptedly cut, according to a spywitness. The club began to quietly empty out.
