Crime-prone rapper DMX is set to star in a new reality TV show chronicling his many run-ins with the long-arm of the law.

DMX: This Life of Mine will follow the troubled star, real name Earl Simmons, as he attempts to reclaim his life and career.

“In many ways, my life has been an open book. (But) I haven’t always been the one writing the story. With this show, however, people will get to see and hear with their own eyes and ears what really goes on in my life and I think they’ll come to understand me a little bit better with each episode,” X said in a statement to AllHipHop.com.
