Tashera Simmons, the wife of DMX, is writing a new tell-all book about her marriage to the often incarcerated rap star.

The memoir, titled Strength of Woman, “will be talking about her experience with her family and trying to hold them together through the DMX journey,” a rep for Tashera told AllHipHop.com. “Her story is a stellar, heart wrecking, powerful, firsthand account of survival and family strength in a chaotic life and the fame that came with that life.”

Tashera has been married to the rapper since 1999 — through several cheating scandals and paternity suits. Perhaps most notably, in January of 2008, DMX was ordered to pay $1.5 million dollars to a Baltimore woman with whom he fathered a daughter, after he accused her of raping him in an interview with Sister2Sister Magazine in 2004.
