A family feud may have played a role in the Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds split just two weeks after unofficially tying the knot in Bora Bora. Spywitness claim Tracey’s and Eddie’s respective families were at each other’s throats before the wedding ceremony even began. The groom’s mother posed the biggest problem, we hear. Eddie’s mother, Lillian, referred to Tracey as a “gold-digger” and exchanged words with Tracey’s mother.

“…It was as if the families hated each other on sight. It was like the reunion of the Hatfields and the McCoys.”

“The whole thing was a nightmare,” a longtime Eddie pal tells The National Enquirer. “Eddie’s family didn’t like Tracey’s family, and her family felt the same about his. Things just went from bad to worse to awful.”

“The mothers didn’t even want to sit next to each other-even to eat-and it led to both sides of the family squaring off.”
