  I’m so glade we can still find ways to degrade black people in 2008.
  I sure hope there’s plenty of ignorant, racial stereotypical jokes written for that Oscar worthy actor, Fava Flav..
  Maybe they’ll even find a way to use the “N” word to show “brotherly love”?
  Remember that wonderful show they should have never canceled called: Method and Red.(2004)
  That was some good ol’ Shucking and Jiving!
  It was so offensive good.
  Almost as funny as a black man for president?

  Thanx Mike Blackman, well spoken… Flavor Flav sets us (black people) back 100 yrs and keep the stereotypes alive. He’s an embarrassment to the entire black race. Its bad enough they keep this Flavor of love crap going. But viacom (owner of vh1, bet, mtv, mynetworktv, etc.) has found their niche, black degradation and black exploitation sells. And who’s their desperate cash cow?… None other than Mr. Revolutionary “fight the power” himself… Flavor Flav. He’s is no different from the ignorant “actors” who dressed in “black face”and viacom is “Mr. Charley” . Flavor Flav’s 49yrs old, look like he’s 60 and ask like he’s an attention starved 10 year old….Damn, crack is a hell of a drug.

Im guessing your white.. so when are your kids gonna go to school with guns and shoot innocent people?? Whats good for the goose is not always good for the gander…. Sonia you should be ashamed of yourself, falling right into this crap. “Flavor of Love” is not different from “Rock of Love” and I and that ridiculous show “I know my kids a star” which are based on white people and their trying to get in the celebrity business. So before you talk all this crap do some research. Flav can do what he wants no one cares but you and “blackman” I could care less just entertainment. While your broke A$$ is complaining, he is getting paid… Don’t like it, find a way to do the opposite, make a show about being black and proud and see how many people watch it….. None… no Shut Up!!!

  Trish you missed the whole point of our comments. Mr. Blackman’s comments are well stated like he said, “I’m so glade we can still find ways to degrade black people in 2008″. Meaning he can’t believe that black degradation still exist in 2008. In other words he’s being sarcastic with his comments to show how fed up he is with the black stereotypes.
  I’m a black woman tired of being labeled a hoe, undermined, disrespected, overlooked and my intelligence insulted. Because of the likes of the Flavor of love shows. For the buffoon Flavor Flav, Mr. Blackman and I are tired of the images Flavor Flav gives black men with his antics. I don’t know about you but my father was a black man and I have uncles, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends who are black men that suffer because of the likes of Flavor Flav. Along with all the other stereotypical unbelievably ignorant buffoons. People watch television, listen to certain song and believe that we are actually like that.
  Don’t you remember the whole Don Imus fiasco? Even Oprah Winfrey and Gail Brown discussed how they have been disrespected when they leave the country because of the negative images the world sees via American media. I once believed that all white people were the Brady Bunches, June Cleavers and Happy Days (all white positive shows). Until I saw the Jerry Springer show. All their skeletons, dirty laundry and white trash was on TV.
  Do you know they canceled “Girlfriends” a positive show but they bring out a stereotyped buffoon show such as Under One Roof? Because anything starring Flavor Flav is a d@mn disgrace. And you agree with them… My 12- 17 year old cousins see the buffoonery and stereotypes Flavor Flav promotes. But YOU agree with the madness.
  The Flavor of Love shows degrades and exploits black women. Flav degradingly change the women’s names to sexual exploitive “nicknames”. They are so lost because first they are on the show and they happily accept those names. Then everyone else simply calls them / us “hoes”. “Mr. Revolutionary” “Fight the Power” deadbeat Flavor Flav plays every deplorable stereotype of black men. Wow what a difference 20 years, crack and child support make.
  Now with Rock of Love and the silicone valley of hot mess trash… I’m happy that show is out. That means more trash so they (white people) can’t just point their fingers and say its them (black people).
  I must correct you I’m not proud because “God opposes the proud but favors the humble”. I’m not ashamed because shame was nailed to the cross. I’m just the flawed vessel God made me to be. But you can say I’m black and aware. Do you hate yourself not knowing when to say enough is enough? Racism still exist just leave your 2 mile parameter of your neighborhood and you’ll see. Your amount of ignorance is laughable and it’s obvious YOU haven’t done any research.

  Oh, Trish all those stereotypes you love to watch came from from the beginning of slavery till today. Because of “buffoons” like Flavor Flav and the “Mr. Charleys” like viacom/vh1. When will the madness end? When will the exploitation end? They used our ancestors to sell everything from apples to zippers and its still happening today.   It is a 6 part documentary series in a ten minute increment. I pray that you or any one else reading this will watch. You will see the buffoonery minstrel show madness still lives today. Viacom (vh1, bet, mtv, mynetwoerktv, etc.) Keep it alive with the likes of Flavor Flav.
  But in the words of the revolutionary Flavor Flav and Public Enemy “Fight the Power”…I sure hope Flavor Fav’s mother is proud of him.

  THIS IS A GREAT ENDEAVOR FOR FLAV. MOST OF THOSE GIRLS WANTED TO GET NOTICED AND THAT’S WHAT THEY GOT, AND THEY EARNED SOME CASH. WE AS A PEOPLE HAVE TO BUILD OUR COMMUNITY BY CREATING A CASH FLOW MOVEMENT. AT THIS TIME DRUGS, AID’S AND VIOLENCE ARE KILLING US. WE NEED MORE FLAVOR FLAV’S TO HELP BUILD THE TEMPLE. WE HAVE TO COME TOGETHER AS ONE. LIKE THE MEXICANS, LIKE THE PUERTRO RICANS, LIKE THE ITALIANS ECT. WE MUST STOP THE HATE AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER. FLAV IS SHOWING MAD LOVE.   I cannot understand how some folks are quick to put Flav down. Every single day, either Jerry Springer or Maury Povich show people in the worst possible light. EVERY DAY! There are rappers who are straight up criminals. Where were the Black pride, holier than thou folks when TI got arrested….. AGAIN! Where do you think those weapons would’ve ended up if he didn’t get caught!! How about Remy Ma & Foxy Brown. OH…. I get it! They are JUST thugs! How many years do you think the aforementioned set Black people back?

  I really can’t believe some of the comments I’m reading. A lot of you are praising and giving props to Flava Flav like that minstrel show he’s acting in right now is a good thing! And why - because he’s getting paid?!?!?! Are you serious?! Those dollars that are going into his pocket is blood money - the media execs are playin’ his dumb a$$ like a puppet - letting that ignorant fool make a mockery of his people through stereotypes and exploitation, while they make hundreds of millions. “Al Capone Harris” and “Ezra” up above are talking about how he’s helping people make money and creating cash flow for others - uhhhhh, yeahh…. He sure is creating cash flow for already rich media moguls and don’t give a damn about minorities, who, by the way, are the main ones watching that buffoonery. A few dollars in his pocket or the pockets of those Flavor of Love chicks (they’re hardly making chump change, by the way) is not worth corrupting the minds of our youth. Blackman and Sonia - I completely agree with the both of you. I am absolutely shocked that such blatant stereotyping can still be aired on television….
