(Opening Intro)

Hey What’s up y’all, it’s Pascalle, welcome to this week’s edition of the Hip Hop Crunch Show. How y’all doing?

Hip Hop Crunch Show - What is it? You know what it is, basically it’s the weekly show where we talk about all the best in the Urban world whether that be Soul, Hip-Hop and R&B.

So let’s hurry and get started and just jump right to it. It’s been an interesting week–the week of October 1st, 2007–by the way you know you can find us here at hiphop.popcrunch.com

I got a couple of stories in the ‘What the F–!’ files this week. First up, is Olivia. We have Olivia, whose been dropped from G-Unit…and the stories as far as why are conflicting (50 Cent says one thing, and her camp says something else). This video was leaked this week–I’m hoping to God this is NOT a real video–I like Olivia, she’s from my neighborhood in Queens (What up Queens!). I”m hoping this is not the real video. Check this out:

Olivia - ‘Missing You/My Daddy’ video:

I had to look at the video like 2, 3 times to make sure it wasn’t a joke, like, “nah, she’s joking…this isn’t for real…” Invest in a proper video! The song is called “Missing You/My Daddy”, but with the video like that, that’s not going ANYWHERE… Not a good look, mami…not a good look…

Lil’ Wayne…Lord have us mercy…did y’all read that interview with VIBE Magazine that he has coming out in the November (2007) issue? One of the most interesting things that stood out in that interview, was the fact that he mentions trying to holla at R&B singer Trey Songz’ girlfriend and he says, ‘yo, Trey must be puttin’ it DOWN because his girl was not trying to hear me and I tried a couple times and she was straight shutting me down…so you wanna talk about G’s in the industry? Trey Songz is a G’ (or something), then he says ‘no homo’ at the end.

As far as album releases that came out this week on October 2nd, 2007–someone that I’m definitely checking for–definitely checking for–J. Holiday. Y’all hopefully have heard his single, “Bed”, it was number one, it’s been everywhere…His album ‘Back of My ‘Lac’, came out this week, so I’m gonna be checking out J. Holiday. And he’s a lil’ cutie too… :)

Also, we have Trey Songz who came out with his album, “Trey Day”. From what I’ve been reading online, he’s next up in line to be the next R. Kelly–the album is about nothing but sex…

In new leaked music on-line, we have Mary J. Blige with a song titled ‘Just Fine’. Up-tempo, fun. It’s going to off of her tentatively titled album, “Growing
Pains”.

BOOOOO! Of The Week - Beyonce

Apparently she and her camp have decided to cancel her Malaysia stop on her world tour overseas. Instead, she’s going to keep her Indonesian performance. I’m saying Booo to that only because the reasoning for the cancellation is because they, being Beyonce’s camp, does not want to comply with the dress code rules. I mean, if someone as big as Gwen Stefani can comply and just cover up from the neck to your knees, I don’t see what the big deal was with that. So she decided, screw it, cancel the show. So why Beyonce really cancelled that show, who knows, was it because she really did not feel like having to comply with that? I don’t know, but either which way: BOOOOOO!

Alright y’all, so that’s gonna do it for me. Thanks for checking us out. Remember, there’s always a transcript of the show as well as links to music, links of the stories and sources that I refer to in the video. Anyway, so thanks for joining us, and hope to see y’all next week! See y’all soon. Peace…
