NBA legend Isiah Thomas is hospitalized after suffering an accidental overdose of sleeping pills at his surburban New York home on Friday.

“An ambulance was called to his residence around midnight, and a party was transported to White Plains Hospital,” says a police spokesman. “It was a party from his residence. It was ruled an overdose.”

Thomas, 47, was fired as the coach and president of the New York Knicks in April.
