Jennifer Hudson National Anthem Super Bowl 2009 Pictures & Video (“The Star Spangled Banner”)
Jennifer Hudson performed “The Star Spangled Banner” prior to the start of Super Bowl XLIII, between the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Sunday.
The Academy Award-winning actress made her first major public appearance since the triple homicide of her mother, brother, and 7-year-old nephew in Chicago last October.
Jennifer received a standing ovation for her rendition.

I don’t know why I have been so reluctant to embrace Jennifer Hudson as a person. Maybe it’s because I think she needs more humble. But with a voice like that I suppose a little divaliscious is required. I certainly wish I could sing like that! Truth told, I don’t know Jenn, and only God can see into the heart.
With that said…everything Jennifer sings is incredible. She is quite a professional musician and quite a woman. I believe if you can sing the national anthem bringing people to tears, you can do just about anything. It’s a difficult tune. Jennifer’s Superbowl 2009 national anthem had me tearing up by “Oh say can you see”, and it may well go in to the history books on par with Ray Charles America the Beautiful.
