Actress Jessica Alba made some controversial comments on the July cover of Para Todos Magazine that has some fans screaming that the “Fantastic Four” actress hates her fellow Latin Americans-particularly other Mexicans.
“I’ve got cousins galore. Mexicans just spread all their seeds. And the women just pop them out.”
“My grandfather was the only Mexican at his college, the only Hispanic person at work and the only one at the all-white country club. He tried to forget his Mexican roots, because he never wanted his kids to be made to feel different in America. He and my grandmother didn’t speak Spanish to their children. Now, as a third-generation American, I feel as if I have finally cut loose.”
“My grandfather was the only one in our family to go to college. He made a choice not to speak Spanish in the house. He didn’t want his kids to be different.”

this is sad to read, i use to like Jessica Alba but now that she made this comments, one thing for sure i will not be watching her new movie and i encourage everyone to do the same.

I was disgusted to read this, it is racism from the inside! Doesn’t she realise it is her beautiful espanic looks and mexian backround which have got her where she is today. She is denying her race, family and culture. She obviously lacks the intelligence to realise race is something to embrace and be proud of and that she doesn’t need to conform to American white views! If they don’t appreciate mexicans that is their loss! I am an Indian girl who doesn’t speak any Indian language but that does not strip me of my culture and orgins, it makes me who I am today!

I don’t get the hostility here. Jessica makes a living by pandering to men by flashing skin and that’s OK, but if she admits she’s just American that is a controversy?
Jessica claims she was never accepted by the Latino community when she was growing up but now that the Latinos want her to be Latina they are mad with her because she’d rather just be American? We are in America, right? Home of the melting pot? Is there anything wrong with this?
At any rate, it sounds as if Jessica is being honest. Welcome to American where the melting pot produces third generation children who look ethnic but are just plain ole American mutts. This is true multiculturalism and it’s a beautiful thing. Give the girl a break.
