Katt Williams Arrested Weapons Possession November 2008

Katt Williams kept his fans waiting at Carnegie Hall for more than half an hour last night in NYC — because he was getting himself bailed out of jail on weapons possession.
According to the New York Daily News, Williams and ten members of his crew were taken in on weapons charges Thursday morning after police noticed three visible guns in his Cadillac Escalade, which was missing a license plate, in Midtown Manhattan.
Originally scheduled to perform that evening at Carnegie Hall, Katt spent 18 hours behind bars before being released on a $25,000 bond.
The comedian rushed to the stage nearly an hour later with an apology to fans.
“I’m not moving at my usual pace,” he reportedly told the packed crowd. “I just got out of jail 35 minutes ago.”
