Kelly Rowland Drops Manager Matthew Knowles, Signs Up With Chris Lighty?
According to celebrity tattles, Kelly Rowland, whose sophomore showing ‘Ms. Kelly’ hits stores July 3rd, is planning to dump long-time manager and mentor Matthew Knowles, AKA Beyonce’s Daddy, and signed up with 50 Cent’s manager Chris Lighty and Violator Management.
“She’s been with [Matthew Knowles'] Music World Entertainment for a long time … a change was overdo,” says a snitch.
“Matthew has caught wind of what Kelly’s been up to. It’ll be interesting to see how things play out. But knowing Matthew, I expect an all out war.”

The archtype for girl groups goes all the way back to The Supremes with Diana Ross being front and center-(just like Beyonce) The other members of The Supremes always got the shaff because of D.Ross’ screwdown w/ the label head Barry Gordy-(just like matt knowles, just not sleeping w/ Bey or Solonge) It is one thing for Matt wanting put his girls in a postion to succeed but when you run a record label and have artists on that label, you have to fair to all of your artists or else you are doing them a disservice and you should stick to managing the ones that you put your heart and soul into. No wonder him and Jay-Z get along. Look at Def Jam when he was there and look at it now that his butt is out of there. Don’t get me wrong Jay & Bey are great talents just not nice people or even being friends w/ them unless your doing something for them and they benefit from it. It would not supprise me that Matty boy will try to blackball her unless she works out a deal where she has to give him a certain percentege of money whenever she does anytype of rec. project or acting project he gets paid from that.
