Las Vegas Auctions Iconic Michael Jackson Memorabilia

Michael Jackson is auctioning 1,100 of his personal belongings to pay a storage bill.

Among the items up on the auction block include costumes, paintings, film sculptures and bullet proof vests.

Michael’s distinctive red military jacket with gold rope, and a frilly pink Mae West dress worn by an eight year old Janet Jackson during a 1974 Jackson Family Variety Show live from Las Vegas are both set to be sold.

None of the money from the two day sale will go directly to the King of Pop.
Richard Altomare, the chief executive of Universal Express, the Florida company that owns the items, said Jackson’s lawyers settled when they were convinced they had no legal claim to the goods.

“Despite his emotional attachment, he had to accept he didn’t have it.”
The auction will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Wednesday and Thursday.
